Great food and great serving sizes. Attached is the kid serving size. Also comes with a juice box and you can substitute onion rings which is yummy. Lots of choices for adults. Owners very nice and personable. They even served us at 5 minutes before closing. They said as long as their machines were on they were happy to serve us. We were so excited as we tried the pub as my husband misses pub bad diner type food but they didn’t allow the kids. So that was a no go. And after seeing their reviews we were so happy to miss that and try this local sourced family business food. They have picnic tables and are set up outside. With a nice view. Will be here again. Oh and their tartar sauce is amazing. Different than others and so good.

Very good spot for food and view over the harbor. It is not a restaurant but more of a stationary food truck for either take away or sitting outside. No inside seats. Food: Very good homemade food. We loved the fish and chips and the Burger are very good, too. Service: Friendly but basic self-service. The food takes a bit to be ready, as it is freshly prepared. Ambiance: Take away and outside seating. Beautiful view over the harbor - depending on weather. Price: Fair prices at around $20 per person including drink. Dish recommendation: Fish and Chips - They are very good and on par with the good Bristish pendants. Conclusion: Check it out, it's worth it.

Visiting from Ottawa, and this little spot was truly a gem! Had the fish and chips and the brisket sandwich. Both were excellent bursts of flavour! The fish was fresh and they smoke their own brisket. If you sit looking out at the bay you get a million dollar view for a 20$/person meal. I’m kinda bummed that we were only there for lunch because there was so much more we wanted to try. (We also had some crows join us for lunch and they were very entertaining).

Came up from Victoria with a friend to visit his family in Albert Bay earlier today and was on a mission to find food before the ferry.

I honestly did not have high expectations for Port MacNeill as I’ve never been this far north on the island, however Lata’s blew me away with the food and customer service here. The Bacon Cheeseburger is awesome.

Lata’s will definitely be a for sure visit whenever I come up again in the future with my friend and would, sadly if it weren’t for my poor gas milage in my own car, be a reason to visit Port MacNeill more often.

If you ever find your business to expand, I believe Victoria has a need for...
