This is the best place that we have been in the area for fish and chips, this time we had the seafood platter for two with onion rings instead of fries on one half. Service was great, meal was done faster than expected, the pieces of fish are generous and battered just right, clams were good and I'm not a fan of clams normally, shrimp and scallops cooked to perfection, and some very good fries with a side of gravy that I didn't find amazing but my wife loved it, home made biscuit to start was awesome and for desertthe house made coconut cream pie was very rich and delicious. Great food, friendly staff and a great location.

I’ve been going to the sandpiper since I was a kid and love it so much. It’s a must visit every time I fly back to Nova Scotia. The food is always yummy, the milkshakes are always a favorite as well! The staff is friendly and polite. It’s a very cozy environment with beautiful artwork on the walls and a view of the water from the nice big windows. I would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants an authentic Nova Scotian experience!

Cute & charming family style eatery. Very nondescript but a great little spot. Dine-in or out on the patio with a gorgeous view! And both dining room & patio were spotless!!! Fully licensed so you can have a nice cold beer or wine with your meal. Small but very good selection of both domestic & local beers! I had the fish & chips & they were massive, delicious with a crispy light batter. Fries were home cut & cooked perfectly. I wish it came with a side of coleslaw. My wife had the lobster stew, which came with a delicious fluffy homemade tea biscuit. She liked the stew but it was just essential lobster and milk/broth. The portion was good, but for being a “stew”, it could have used some potato & carrots. We took dessert to go. I heard another client rave about the blueberry pie. It was absolutely delicious. And again, homemade crust & filling. Crust was perfect. Flaky & not too heavy. The service is great and our server was a sweetheart. I give it 9/10 only because my wife thought the lobster stew a little underwhelming. I need to try the homemade coconut cream pie when...

Yum! Yum! Yum! I had clams and onion rings. It was super tasty and a good portion for the cost. Other meals at the table were a big lobster roll, a fish and chips with a big piece of fish and a lobster club with fries. Everyone enjoyed the food. The service was great! We had a very polite young man serve us. I wish I could remember his name to give him a shout out. (We were there for a 60th anniversary dinner.) He admitted he was new and training but was attentive and prompt with his service - wouldn't have known he was learning. The atmosphere is casual and it's easy to see all the staff are a solid team. I recommend dining here. There is also a nice little patio that...
