Galley Restaurant — Restaurant in Port Rexton

I searched "good food on the way to Bonavista" and this restaurant stood out by the reviews. We phoned ahead and placed our orders and the staff were so helpful and accommodating. We arrived early, used the clean washrooms and took advantage of the brightly colored picnic tables outside for a rest from the drive. The food was freshly made, not sitting around and soggy and we appreciated the home fries, in large portions I might add. The clubhouse sandwiches were piled high and the homemade burger was tasty as well. The kids appreciated the simplicity of the basic fried chicken nuggets and grilled cheese. Glad we stopped here, friendly and welcoming place....

Terrible food, terrible service. We waited an hour for food with 2 young children while we watched 4 other tables get served, eat and leave. It seemed that they were serving the people they knew first. We finally had to leave without being fed because the kids were so hungry they were getting fussy. We asked for our food to take out and it took another 10 minutes after that to get our food. It was small portions and not good quality especially for the price you pay. Awful experience. We...

It was a nice surprise in the office season. Looking for a place to eat, only to realize most everything was closed. Drove by and turned back once I realized it may be open. It was. I heard other people thank the server for being open as they too had a hard time finding a place to eat.
