Nice staff, great space with high ceilings and lots of natural light, vegan options . Had the ham sandwich and garden salad. The portions were small, but the taste was exceptional and worth it! The sandwich is built on a biscuit, served piping hot with carved ham, a little honey muistard aioli and smoked cheddar. The salad had very fresh greens with ricotta and a tasty vinaigrette with hints of ginger. Very enjoyable food. Shared some almond chocolate cake for dessert. The cake was delicious and not too sweet, the almond flavour was baked throughout the cake. Two minor improvements I'd like to see would be some noise dampening and better coffee. Sorry, the coffee today was bitter and had no real flavor. I'm sure a small tweak will fix that. Maybe it was an off day. Would go back again. Looking forward to the salads later in the summer when the freshest produce is available.

We visited Ground Murray’s Café in Portugal Cove about a month ago and really enjoyed the atmosphere—it’s such a nice and cozy spot. We ordered the strawberry flaky, cheesecake, the Ground omelette, and two dark roast coffees. The food was tasty and fresh, and the cheesecake was a real highlight! The only thing we found a little disappointing was the coffee selection. They only serve brewed coffee (self-serve with milk, cream, or sugar), so I couldn’t get a latte, which I would have preferred. For the price, it would be nice to see more coffee options on the menu. Overall, it’s a lovely place to stop by, with great food and a welcoming vibe.

The Grounds Cafe is a fantastic spot for breakfast or brunch. I find that the place is bright and spacey however, seats are limited. They have a small menu but they're all delicious with fair prices. The staff is friendly however note that this place is a self serve kind of place, so you'd have to clean up your own table, especially if the previous diners left their own dirty dishes. Not sure if that's suppose to be like that but regardless we had a great time in this restaurant and we'll for sure to come back when we can.

Had been looking forward to trying the cafe for a while after following their social media account. Upon arrival, I placed my order, paid, and was given a tag to place on my table and told someone would bring my food. Great (or so I thought). After waiting for almost 15min and seeing others being served I wondered what the issue was. I was then running late for an airport pickup so I flagged down a worker and asked for my food to go. I was then approached by another worker who said there had been some confusion over my order - either not going through or not making it to the line. So odd! I had to log into my online banking to show the transaction. At this point I was annoyed and very hungry! I took half my order to go and left the soup. Disappointed to say the least, and won't...
