Owl's Head Golf Club — Restaurant in Potton

Nice scenic venue and customer focused staff, but the course was far from top notch. Lots of dead grass lying in fairway and uncut pieces of grass. Bunkers had about 2mm of sand before you hit hard dirt. Not sure whether this was a function of excess rain, but other courses in Bromont did not have this issue. My biggest issue was with bunker structure. For some reason, the course has decided to grow a ring of tall grass and fescue type grass within the bunkers. If you fly into the bunkers you may be in sand or bounce into this grass, which is more of a penalty than sand. If you roll into the bunker, you will most likely stop in this mess before it hits the sand. In my 55 years of golf have never seen this and certainly wonder why this was done. If you plan on a trip to Bromont area and have limited rounds planned, Royal Bromont and Chateau Bromont IMHO are nicer...

Thats where my positive feedback ends. Unsure if its a Canada thing but it didnt look like a single divot was every repaired here and there were a lot on every tee box and every hole from 100 in.

Showed up at 610am. The guy in the pro shop seemed very rude. Talked to me like a child and was adamant I don’t start before 630am like the world would end and when I had no intention to. After 9 I retook a putt and I see the same dude come back out and start screaming. Never have I had a guy walk out the clubhouse and start streaming at me 80 yards away, I was so far I coupdn c been hear him. I don’t know if it was the extra putt or what but I screamed back, hold on I’ll driver over, and when I started driving towards him he went back inside….

Nice layout but you’re better served...

This is a must in Quebec, with amazing mountain views, golf course was in excellent condition and the club has a wow feel , from the moment you drive in the parking till you walk up the 9th or 18th fairways . We stayed at the MTN Haus and played 2 rounds this Labor day weekend. BBQ dinner was very tasty and the cold drinks were very much needed. The only thing missing was towels or even paper towels in the club washrooms and soap ( bodywash ) in our room. Would definitely...
