Chris' Place — Restaurant in Preeceville

Chris' Place was so tasty that I ate here with my wife as many times as I could get to Preeceville in the last 7 days. So so very good! The serving staff and kitchen staff were excellent, very friendly and inviting, can't say enough about the good people at Chris' Place.

Our most recent meal we were fortunate enough to sample a fresh and vibrant tasting coconut lentil soup. The soup was an excellent starter for our mains which were Chana and dhal. Vegetable Biryani is one of my all time favourite dishes and Chris' Place has an excellent version of veggie Biryani. The paneer dishes are rich and flavourful. Regardless of if it's spinach or chicken or any other pairing, you will not be disappointed if you like fresh food and fresh made cheese. Veggie pakoras were a real treat! The lamb Rogan Josh had that unique flavour that only a good Rogan Josh can have. The naan bread is just right and the rice...the rice...cumin seeds in the rice make the meal that much more complete! We are truly fortunate to have come across Chris' Place!

By the way, if you need a place to stay, there are rooms across the road at the Lakeland Inn Motel and just beside the restaurant. We stayed across the road and you can tell that new ownership has invested money into the rooms and are still working on improvements and upgrades. The rooms were very clean and had new mattresses and bedding among other updates and improvements. When we stayed the night, the owners were working on the suites located next to the restaurant. Kitchenettes available. Wifi available. Give Lakeland Inn Motel a try and see...

This was the fourth time that I have visited this restaurant. The other times the food was good and the service was okay. Today I dined with a friend we both ordered fish and chips. It was basically a frozen fish filet that had been deep fried. We ordered soft drinks and had to ask for a glass. I don't like to drink out of a can. While we eating we told our server that we would like to order a small meat pizza to go. We were buying dinner for someone else. When we asked for our bill and the pizza our server told us that "You didn't tell us to make the pizza." I know that it takes 30 to 40 minutes to cook, that is why I ordered the pizza while we were eating. I had to return to pick up the pizza !! Not once did our server apologize for making us wait or return for order. The only thing that you had in your favor was that the pizza was good. But seriously it's going to be awhile before I dine at...

My spouse & I were on a long weekend getaway to visit relatives. After a long day in the July sun at the lake we had no energy towards cooking supper. CHRIS' PLACE. We Google for pizza places. CHRIS' had just undergone new proprietorship and to our delight this family owned business relocated from Ontario and originally from India. Since my father wanted pizza and we ordered the All Dressed, which was very flavorful and full of toppings on handmade crust.

My hubby & I have UK roots and love spicy food & curries so we ordered the xtra xtra hot butter chicken. We were very pleased with the flavor and the heat. We also were provided a very generous serving of garlic naans. We are grateful to have found this restaurant in the quiet farmlands of East Sask. I hope the community of European heritage will embrace or at least explore ...
