I am not a picky eater but I cannot stand this place. I have been served several foreign items in my food including tin foil in my mashed potatoes and a seal in my salad. Some items are left to sit on the counter all day, such as overnight oats containing milk, and if there is food left over they will simply try to disguise it as something else the next day. This place has an ice cream, juice, soda and coffee machine but it is rare that all of the equipment actually works. If anybody needs to eat here late at night, you have to go at least an hour before closing otherwise there will be no food left. At the time of writing this review, the grill was not serving beef burgers, veggie burgers, fries or chicken strips. The only item left was grilled cheese. Their breakfast pastries, specifically the bagels, are stale and hard as rocks. I avoid all of the eggs except for hard boiled as I have seen them prepared in some questionable ways. If you are vegan or vegetarian, be prepared to have some meals with no protein and to eat the same thing for lunch and dinner on weekends. You will likely be fed chickpea curry several days in a row, and sometimes your food will be left out all day. And for anyone planning to eat here, beware everything is soaked in oil. Oh, and the meat has given my friends and roommates food poisoning. For over $3000 a semester this place is a scam. Avoid at all costs.

Overall a disaster. I’ve been served plastic in my food multiple times, half of a burger bun, and substitutes I’d rather not want. This is the only dining experience I’ve ever gagged at. A majority of the time the food is bathed in oil sitting in the serving trays, I’m surprised the US hasn’t invaded for it yet. It is more than disappointing that students are forced to have this dining experience for two years (60 credit hours). The price I’ve paid for this could’ve been spent making something I’d actually eat.

Absolutely disgusting, no idea how they get away with serving this slop. It’s no wonder they have to make UNBC students pay for this for 2 years (or 60 credits), no one would eat here if not. This is gross.

We eat here once in a month and here is our experience as I go with my family and my kid. Food is better than before. Some working staffs unfortunately are not friendly mostly at the end of the day (maybe they are tried), but in any case if they are working till 11pm they have to treat people well and they don't. Some items are not being filled or replaced on time and sometimes you can not find plates of spoons or forks and you have to start digging around to find one. Kids are almost free to move around and play a bit. Front desk staff are really friendly. A black gentleman is working on a spot for making burgers and he is very nice to everyone and I appreciate his efforts in making your order the way you want. Fruit is always fresh. Pastry is the same but always fresh. As it is a buffet, the only thing you need to consider is to make sure you do to...

I have been dining here for about a semester and a half. I’ve received plastic in my food, raw chicken and beef, and have literally been served miscellaneous items that look like slop. My gluten free friend was provided with supposedly “gluten free” items which have contained gluten. My friends and I literally saw ratatouille scuttering around here the other day. The food is a health risk. I know a guy who got food poisoning five times last semester. The only reason I’m still eating here is because they force me to because I live in residence. I rated service 2/5 instead of 1/5 because Victoria is the nicest person...
