I recently had the pleasure of sitting next to Steve and his wife, owners of Arabisk restaurant in Prince Rupert, on a flight from Puerto Vallarta to Vancouver. Listening to Steve talk about the restaurant was nothing short of inspiring. His passion for bringing the vibrant flavors of Mediterranean cuisine to the shores of Prince Rupert is truly remarkable. What’s even more impressive is that Arabisk is a true family affair, with Steve, his wife, their two sons, and their families all playing a vital role in running the business.
While I haven’t had the chance to dine at Arabisk yet, the sheer enthusiasm and dedication that Steve shared about the restaurant have already convinced me that it’s a must-visit. The way he described their commitment to quality, consistency, and the importance of family values in maintaining a successful restaurant left a lasting impression on me. It’s clear that this isn’t just a business for them—it’s a labor of love.
Steve and his wife were on vacation when I met them, while their sons and daughters-in-law were holding down the fort back at the restaurant. This dedication to their craft, even while away, speaks volumes about the care and effort they put into every aspect of their work.
Happy 30th anniversary to Steve and his wife! I’m already looking forward to my trip to Prince Rupert, where Arabisk will be...
Read moreI thought The Crest was a good place for atmosphere, service, and food.
I was proven wrong. My first time dining here was amazing. I thought I would have time to take a picture once the food came out, but by the time I remembered, my plate was clean.
The staff was also extremely friendly and attentive. We received the best service you could get from any restaurant you could visit in Prince Rupert. The chef even came out to speak with us!
It is a bit pricy with their more expensive dishes around $20+ (I paid $28 for my dish), but for the flavourful food, service, and experience, it's worth it.
If you're looking for vegetarian options, there are a few menu items that may fit your dietary needs. There are also a couple of gluten-free options if you're looking for that as well.
This restaurant is constantly changing to improve their dishes. Their portions are perfect, and it's quite filling to eat here. We ended up with some leftovers, which we were able to take home.
There are also events hosted by this restaurant that you should ask about if you plan on visiting.
For anyone still on the fence, I highly recommend this restaurant. You could not get this experience anywhere else.

Then we got to Arabisk a Mediterainian Cuisine Restaurant and were treated to a craft cocktail mixology course with 1 if the owners Sara. It was so much FUN mixing craft cocktails for myself and my other guests who werent in a mixing mood. Cant wait till my next dinner party!!!! Ill be serving Sumac Gin Spritzes and impress my guests!! The 2 cocktails we made were scrupcous!!! The food was BETTER than ANYTHING I had had my cruise ship (or in AK really) and there was SO MUCH FOOD we barely touched it and I left STUFFED!!!! The minimal ingredients were painstakingly prepared resulting in an explotion of sophisticated flavor in their choice of spices. From the first course to dessert they DO NOT DISSAPOINT!!!! Everything about this tour is Top Notch and NOT TO BE MISSED when in Prince Rupert wether you are there on a cruise ship, in town a few days or weeks, or a life long resident check it...
