Visited this place looking at the stellar reviews. When we reached there, first thought- looks nice and cozy. We were greated at the door and seated after a small wait. Me and my husband are not particularly fluent in French so we requested the English menus. The staff said they had English menus but we never received those. None the less, We scanned the QR codes and got menus for ourselves.
We requested our server for two glasses of water, which we never received. She was cold and rude. She made polite conversation with other tables she was serving but neglected us the whole time. After asking twice, I got up and got water for the two of us from the front counter.
We just missed the breakfast time by 2 minutes. They stop serving breakfast on 11.30am on the weekdays. I politely asked if I could possibly still order from the breakfast menu and i was completely shrugged off. I don’t mind being said no but there is no need to be rude while you do so.
The server judged and neglected us and I can’t help but see it as discrimination. If the restaurant is anti-anglophones, you should deny service at the door.
The food was actually good. But the coffees were also bought as an after thought. Since we didn’t pay a tip after the experience we had, the served threw the bill copy at the table and left. Cherry on the cake (must say)
All in all a horrible experience for us. I would like to give a minus rating but such an option doesn’t exist.
I should assume since the location is such that your establishment would get a lot of tourist crowd come by. The bias and racism...
Read moreVery specific place. Looking good from outside but inside going on something strange. If you are thinking that service is a very important part of the atmosphere then you need to try to find another one because here it's just terrible. We went there with my pregnant wife and ordered food to take out. Because the place was almost empty we asked permission to wait in place under the window. We got the permission and we were sitting there for 5 minutes but suddenly one of these waitresses asked us to leave the place and move to a small plywood bench under the fridge. We did what they asked and was trying to speak with a manager but surprise surprise they don't have any. And as a cherry on top our order was ready. It takes from 5 to 7 minutes to make our order but there is no way we could sit in a regular place in an empty restaurant. Conclusion: if you want to find good food in a short time maybe this place isn't that bad but if you are looking for service then you...
Read moreThis restaurant has bad customer service. We ordered out, even left some tips and asked if we could seat at one of the tables while waiting, the answer was yes. When we sat at the table we were rudely thrown out by one of the waitress. She told us these tables were only for people eating in (restaurant was half empty and we wouldn't stay long). They directed us to some bench at the corner. I'm pregnant and sitting on a hard bench without any back support isn't very pleasant experience. Food was ready in 5 min, so what was the point of being rude to your customers? Also, when we asked for a manager, the answer was we don't have any...well, may be you should, girls. May be the manager can teach you customer service skills. Never again going to...
