La Maison du Canelé is a unexpected surprise. They do really good simple sandwiches with real french baguette. We also got homemade soup and Canelé. Just delicious. Staff is nice and friendly. They also have all sorts of frozen goods made on site. Definitely recommend to stop there.

Non ce ne sont pas les meilleurs canelés au Canada… Ce sont les SEULS qui goûtent et qui croquent comme les canelés originaux de la ville de Bordeaux. Pas celle connue au Québec pour sa prison mais celle dans le sud-ouest de la France dont on apprécie les vins ;-) Et ces boîtes congelées sont très malines, on en a acheté 4 boites pour les décongeler à volonté, cela ne perd rien à sa saveur, c’est tout simplement DE-LI-CIEUX !!! Les instructions sur l’emballage indiquent comment réchauffer les canelés à la perfection et se régaler à tous les coups ! Merci pour cette escale gourmande inattendue qui nous fera revenir depuis Montréal à chaque fois qu’on repassera par Québec.
