Restaurant Chez Gerard — Restaurant in Quebec

Not impressed at all. Used to come here but the other day ... Lunch special was hamberger steak , oignon sauce , fries ....ps. I had asked to "poutine my fries.....

The steak was about 2 x 2" patties that were overcooked ( when you need a knife ). Fries were overcooked and sauce was pretty thick, and the cheese was soggy. Forget the "sqwesh sqwesh"..... " , was charge something like 7$ extra for the cheese & sauce ..

Talked to the manager , and he was kind enough , she paid for my meal ... At least they know when they...

I had a great meal at Gérard Restaurant in Saint-Georges! The food was delicious, the staff were super friendly, and the ambiance was calm and relaxing—perfect for a nice evening out. I also really appreciated their convenient opening hours, which make it easy to stop by whether you're an early riser or out late. The food is not what it used to be. Everything tastes like it was prepared ahead of time. I used to have their food monthly about 7-8 years ago and it was always good. I go there yearly now and everytime it feels more and more like a chain restaurant. It feels like they are so focused on expansion that they forgot about their roots. Ive brought up the subject with my friends and they all think the same, some of them even completely gave up on eating here. I do not recommend this...
