Dougie's Diner — Restaurant in Quinte West

Few times we went had fabulous service but this morning my parents went with my 2 sons and server was very rude disrespectful and unprofessional she didn’t even want to serve my family Thts a shame as this is how a nice business will loose customers when their server are like this forsure will never be returning or sending any family or friends They went this morning early server was a Yonger female . If someone isn’t happy with their job they shouldn’t be doing the job cause this is a loss for the good business in our community Also when there are lil kids involved every restaurant does exception plus restaurants that time didn’t have any one server should have been caring n nice to do this due to kids safety my kids were there it’s a safety thing for kids After that rude experience from your server my oldest child didn’t even want to eat out anymore and yes I’m well aware of the whole situations as well so please kindly don’t make it seem like it’s family fault trying to think that your place would be best to have breakfast we went few times before and had amazing service and server and great food this time due to the harsh behaviour from the server it was...

I walked in here today 8 months pregnant excited to come back here and eat. I was told I could not have my coffee I brought with me in the restaurant if u wanted to stay and eat. Being pregnant I am only allowed 1 coffee a day. Th8s was truly upsetting I was not going to leave my coffee out in the truck to get cold and re heated later. And because of this I was denied service. This was truly upsetting and unfortunately good food or not I will not be returning. So, I thought I would try a new place today. I went in sat down and only realized too late that I was suppose to wait to be seated ( there was No other patrons in the diner at 7 am but myself). The gentleman in the back was in my opinion very rude. I clearly heard him tell the waitress that and I quote " There is a women seated in the diner and that she doesn't know how to read". So, I decided I will not go there again. I was willing to wait to be served but, when I heard him say that I got up and left. I do not appreciate the behavior first thing in the morning. My money is just as good as anyone else's. So, I will take it somewhere else. Thanks...
