Nineteen Restaurant & Patio — Restaurant in Quinte West

Posted for my mother in law: So I have been to “19” restaurant (on the bay of Quinte golf course) several times and had great service and great food. Unfortunately my thoughts on this restaurant have changed and I will never return. When we arrived there was a table of about 7 men who were clearly very intoxicated, very loud and using vulgar language. Out of no where one of the men starts whipping timbits at his buddies. And then….decides to whip a timbit at an innocent customer!!! Our waitress came over to take our order I said”could you kindly ask that man to stop whipping timbits at people and ask them to stop with the loud vulgar language.” She replied “oh they are just celebrating the end of the season.” One of my friends went to speak to the owner who was behind the bar. She informed him that a patron had just left the bar very intoxicated with his car keys in his hand. Jack goes to the lobby area with my friend to have a conversation about what was taking place in the restaurant. Jack proceeds to walk towards our table and yells in our face “what do you want me to do about”. After yelling the same phrase three times I said “maybe tell them to stop throwing timbits and stop the vulgar,loud language.” His response was “this is a bar.”!!!!! Ummm….i am pretty sure it is called “19” restaurant. Needless to say we got up and left and had a nice dinner at another establishment. I will never go back there again. The restaurant is clean and bright and the staff were very polite. Most importantly, the food was really delicious. I ordered the roasted chicken, my wife had the AAA Steak. Both were perfect. We also shared the vegitable tempera as an appetizer and apple crumble and cheesecake cannoli for dessert. They nailed it. Seriously. You might find it slightly more expensive than some other restaurants in the area but really, you get what you pay for here. Not sure how it could have been better. If you are looking for a delicious meal and a nice atmosphere (not too formal, clean and comfortable, beautiful large patio) then try this place. 100% chance I will...

Took my dad out here for Father's day and had an apsolutely amazing experience. We sat out at the patio and the view and atmosphere was perfect. I thought maybe it would be busy since it was Father's day but it was quite the opposite. There was only a few people and we were quite spread out. All the surroundings were beautiful and we found ourselfs super relaxed and enjoying the view. The food was also really good and there chef really knows what he's doing.
