Tams Diner — Restaurant in Quinte West

We stop here once again today and once again left thinking this is exactly what is missing in restaurants today! The food was delicious and home cooked. The prices where more the far compared to any of the surrounding options. The staff was friendly and caring and actually took the time to think and ask how we would like to be served right down to how would you like your gravy hate to make your bread soggy!! This just doesn't happen anymore in service industry! We chose to eat our meal in our car because we where traveling with our dog and they even offered to bring it out to us however my wife chose to go In but don't worry as a member of the staff was headed out on break they made the effort to make contact and confirm everything was up to our standards. Since moving to Trenton in the fall of 2015 we have probably eaten at Tab's, now known as Tam's Diner, a good dozen times. In the last few months it seems to have really gone downhill. The service is a bit slow, but the most disappointing part is that both times we ate there (breakfast) in the last month, the floor looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a month. Very unappetizing because you wonder that if no one can be bothered to clean the floors, how often do they clean the cooking/kitchen area? We even wondered if they would pass a health inspection, it was that bad. The portions have always been pretty good size, but sad to say we won't...

This little Mom and Pops Diner was very good. Breakfast looked really good but I had their burger and fries. First off the burger was homemade and re Wally good and lots of food. Yes I was hungry and the staff were incredibly friendly and the place just had a small town friendly feeling. Absolutely would go again. One suggestion would be to grill the hamburger bun....other than that....this place rocked!

An an update....this place is the best place for brunch diner type food. Their eggs Benedict was delicious....I highly recommend. And they cook it the way you like it and all home made....support them and enjoy their...
