Casse-Croute 125 — Restaurant in Rawdon

This place is about as good as it gets when it comes to casse-croûtes. Solid poutines, fresh curds, good fries, and the gravy is just right (which seems to be getting rarer these days). I ordered a bacon cheeseburger as well, which was pretty delicious. I also got a Michigan.

WARNING: The Michigans are good, but they’re a fork-and-knife kind, which isn’t my preference. I like to pick mine up and eat it, but this one is absolutely drowning in meat sauce. You’ll definitely need utensils.

I had to deduct one star from the service, not because it was “bad,” but because it took quite a while to get our food. I’m talking 30+ minutes in line and another 20–30 minutes waiting after ordering. But honestly, the reason is clear: two things.

First, they really care about consistency and quality, and they don’t cut corners. Second, they are absolutely slammed with customers all day long. Cute place! Came for the poutine because we heard about amazing reviews. Poutine was good, lots of cheese, the gravy was good and fries were good. It wasn’t the best we’ve had, drove over an hour to try it, wouldn’t go back for just the poutine… however if I am in the area I would get it. Tried the burger mart (sweet and spicy) which was really good, and the burger big 125 which had like zero flavour in the sauce. My husband and niece loved the hotdogs. Cute atmosphere. By far one the best poutine available in the neighborhood if not the best period. Crispy yet tender fries, lots of chesse curds and a delicious sauce not too thick or liquid, with a nice after taste of BBQ. Get the medium size with one hot dog and you’re in business.
