A&W Canada — Restaurant in Red Deer

Yeah, they've never been straight honest with their hours. I just came back from walking to there, time of writing is now 10:58pm. I got there at 10:30, a half hour before they were supposed to close. I'd say plenty of time to service one customer or two. Doors were locked, but lights and everything else was on. So they either can't write down their hours properly on this service(google maps), or the closing staff are lazy and closed early for an easier time. As though serving a couple of final customers at the end of the day is that much trouble. Not the first time I've dealt with this. I just got some money and wanted some fine a&w food before they closed, and again I say I believe I made enough time for a visit before closing to be reasonable using the hours of operation provided by Google Maps. Is that so much to ask for? Well, in conclusion, don't get there too early or too late. They won't be open when they should be, inviting only disappointment.

Food is great though. Suppose that's why I'm upset now; that I couldn't have some tonight...

I came to fast gas A&W around 8:30 till before 9pm the white lady starting her bad behavior when she's cleaning the floor making so noisy and rude towards pushing chairs at first I was upset but I chose to ignore her I came there to enjoy my meals. But then I get my meals and sit start eating my fries while looking at my phone and she start with her rude attitude calling me so loud from the counter slamming tray 3 to 4 times and she said do you wanna use tray or what? I was feel badly the way she treated me like an animal not a customer. I cried when I came back home. I've work jollibee McDonald's kfc I never did that to anyone why should I be treated like this way with that kind of employee. She deserve to be fired. Check the camera and you will see the evidence the way she did to me. I wish I'll take the video so I'll post it to social media that A&W hired a rude employee like her no respect and so rude. And I will never forget this...

I don't know what kind of degenerate eats hashbrowns without ketchup, but make sure you ask for ketchup in the bag and check before you pull ahead in drivethrough.

Sometimes you ask for it, and it is absent. Sometimes you don't ask, but like mentioned above, it's not there. Other times, perplexingly, your single apple turnover will contain a packet of ketchup.

It is truely schrödingers ketchup. Is it there or not? When you stop here you take a gamble with your existential ketchup permanence issues.

Other than that the food is usually hot off the grill and the coffee is decent.

EDIT 10/10/23; The ketchup concerns appear to have been addressed and I can give an appropriate 5 stars for consistent fresh breakfast...
