Antonio's — Restaurant in Red Lake

So I've been coming here off and on for years food is always good but recently I had an experience directly involving the owner and her super unprofessional conduct. I guess Lynn Aniceto The owner has never heard of the customer is always right. About a week ago I was in for dinner I paid my bill and didn't think twice. A day or two later I found out that the meal I paid for was double than it should have been. I phoned immediately to inquire what had happened. They told me to come in on Monday when she could get the reciepts​ for that day. She had forgot to do that at that point I showed her what I payed and what it was supposed to be. After a bit of difficulty almost like she was implying I was lying she finally gave me the 40 dollars the amount I had been overcharged. Then I get a call a few days later. I was busy and never returned the call. But I had found out what had gone on because of the other people I had dinner had told me that she had contacted them. So it turns out that by accident I had typed in 40 dollars instead of 4 for a tip. I guess she expected me to honor the 40 bucks as a tip which is nuts. Which I didn't fully find out till tonight. Who gives a tip more than their bill. So fast forward to tonight. I go in with some friends and the waitress says the owner wants to talk to me but she can't come out right now. So at the end of the meal but not after we pay she comes out to our table waiving a photo copy of what had happened she basically says this is what happened and that she wants the forty dollars back because she had paid out the tip to her employee. I was completely floored and getting very upset at this time. I could not believe the audacity of this woman. I continued to tell her how unprofessional this is and how it's pretty unprofessional for your staff not to notice that, that was obviously a mistake. She said well we've had people tip more than their meal. I was like highly unlikely and that's not something I would do. She kept pressing the issue that I was in the wrong finally I got up and made sure that everyone heard that I was unsatisfied on how she was handling this and that our problem was over forty dollars. I was so angry I pulled my wallet out slammed 40 dollars on the table and loudly stated here is your forty dollars and that I would tell everyone I know about this situation and that I would never step foot in that restaurant ever again. Tucked away in Red Lake, Ontario, Canada, Antonio's restaurant is a hidden gem. My husband read the restaurant reviews, and decided that while we were in area, we would stop there for lunch. The restaurant itself is modern, and has a warm, and inviting, atmosphere.

We had their pizza. I would consider us pizza snobs. It was probably one of my top 3 favorite pizzas ever! It was absolutely superb, and was loaded with toppings, and a very generous amount of cheese! Baked to perfection.

The menu is massive, and could satisfy virtually any craving. Saturday night they serve prime rib, which I would love to have tried. The restaurant has a full service bar. Although we did not order dessert, the fresh baked items displayed, were very enticing.

The entire place was spotless, including the restrooms. It looked like something out of a magazine. Kudos to the staff, who were phenomenal, especially Olivia. The owner (who was also the cook when we were there) came over to our table to make sure that things were good.

The service was so attentive and friendly that it felt like they wanted to make our visit memorable, even being aware that we were not from the area, and the likelihood that we would be back anytime soon, very remote.

But anyways I was in Red Lake Ontario starving for a burger remember I stopped at this place called Antonio's about 5 years ago do we showed up at this place about 1:15 the door was open walked in and the owner the lady that owns the place was there and said come on and sit down and so are you open she says no not till 4 she fed us very nice lady I had the bowl of soup and the turkey cranberry something sandwich couldn't eat it all it was so good it was delicious and the portion was huge and the lady that was I was with she had the bacon cheddar burger something and with nice lettuce and Marine kind of kind of lettuce was don't even know what kind of lettuce it was but it was the best burger that it was so delicious she said she's never ever had a burger that was any better.
