I’ve enjoyed the excellent food and atmosphere every time I’ve visited, both with colleagues and on my own. Lately, however, I’ve noticed that one of the lady servers seems especially courteous and warm toward my Canadian colleagues, yet somewhat curt and dismissive with me (non-Canadian). For instance, today, when I asked to customize a sandwich by adding parmesan, she rolled her eyes and appeared surprised I would choose that combination. Later, when I simply requested some extra napkins, she bluntly told me I’d have to wait until she finished with another table, so I clarified that I didn’t need them immediately but would appreciate them later. Similarly in the past, when I’ve asked questions about menu items, instead of offering a friendly explanation, she’s simply said, “You can have what you want,” without any guidance.I I may be misreading things, but this inconsistent treatment makes me feel as though I’m somehow less important—perhaps because I’m not Canadian, or simply because she’s been here long enough to behave however she likes. Hope someone from the restaurant takes notice of this. Overall, I won't take anything away from the restaurant and still say it's a great...

Located at Shelter Island Marina in Richmond, TugBoat Annie's Pub & Grille serves up classic pub fare. The three of us dined in and ordered multiple dishes—the portions were so generous that we couldn’t finish everything.
The daily homemade soup was rich and comforting, while the fried calamari was tasty, though the overall flavors were just average.
What truly stood out was the excellent service. As the evening was chilly, the staff kindly seated us in a heated section, ensuring we stayed warm and comfortable. The lively atmosphere made it a great spot for a casual get-together with friends. The restaurant also offers outdoor seating on both sides and TVs playing sports, adding to the dining experience.
Overall, TugBoat Annie's Pub & Grille delivers a satisfying meal with its extensive menu and hearty portions. Whether you're looking for a place to hang out with friends or craving classic pub food, this is a...
Read moreWe stopped in to Tugboat Annie's for lunch, it had been on our minds to go there for a very long time as my dad and i had done work there decades ago , but never eaten there. it was my wifes birthday and it was such a treat to find that even though the restaurant had naturally changed over the many years, we felt very much at home and our meals were fantastic. Tenysha looked after us and she was so friendly and helped to make the experience a great one. My wife had a Hawaiian Chicken burger, i had the Reuben........both were so delicious, the Reuben was the second best one ever, right behind Schwartz's. The chocolate lava cake was fantastic for a desert. The manager Devin made time to come to visit us and gave us an update on what has happened at the restaurant over the last several decades. We definitely will be going back after such a positive return to a great restaurant, on the banks of the Fraser river in Richmond... many thanks go out to Devin and to...
