Went here for pickup for lunch at the end of June, 2020. No eat in option at this point, which is to be expected. I got a double cheeseburger and fries, with the total being around $15, which I thought was very reasonable based on the quality of food.

First of all, the fries. They were truly delicious. They are of the fatter softer variety and were nicely seasoned with salt. I'm typically more of a crispy fry guy, but the taste of these was outstanding. Sometimes, eating fries I feel like I am eating crispy deep fried goodness without really tasting the potato essence, but these actually tasted like starchy fries. I feel like these would make great poutine fries. An order was big enough to share for two, but I was able to handle it on my own.

Now, the burger. First thing I noticed was that there were caramelized onions under the patties, which added an extra richness of flavour that I enjoyed. Then I noticed that the cheese was not lost in the mix, and it actually tasted like McDonald's cheese, which I have to admit I love on a burger. Next came the firmness of the patties which made the burger overall feel extremely beefy. The patties were not at all overcooked, they just had a great "stuck together" texture to them that was very nice. The pickles, tomato and lettuce worked well together and were not lost in the mix. On the top bun was slathered what I believe to be Miracle Whip. While I generally despise MW in favour of actual mayo, I actually believe it went well on this burger, providing a hint of sweetness that complimented the patties and onions. The bun was a fairly unimaginative sesame seed number which did the job, but felt like it could have been close to self destruction at some points. A more hearty bun would have been welcome in my opinion.

Overall, extremely worth the trip from anywhere in Manitoba, and I can't...

Use to be a nice spot after the lake, but we were extremely disappointed with the service yesterday.

First, it took over 45min to get our food with no warning it would take that long. If we would have known about the wait, we would never have ordered. It also was not a complicated or large order - we ordered chicken finger platter with poutine, and a bacon cheese burger with added chili.

Second, the burger was made wrong. When we approached the chef, his excuse was he didn't know what we wanted, so he just made a regular chili burger. Wouldn't you ask for clarification before assuming what the customer wants?

Nothing was done except a sorry and excuses. Not too hard to rectify this for a customer so I hope they can learn from this for the next customers cause we will have a hard time...

If I could choose 0 stars I would! The new owners have definitely ruined what Cynthia’s had built. We drove for over 45 minutes to have a long awaited Mother’s Day lunch and much to our surprise Cynthia’s is no longer it is now Dencross Cornerstone Cafe. Paid over $51.00 and probably $30 in fuel for nothing. The flurry looked like the ice cream machine had not been cleaned in a long time, the poutine onion rings had so much grease, the chili fries were made with something other than chili, the chicken caesar wrap, that I used to rave about, was all iceberg lettuce a little bit of dressing and 2 small pieces of chicken which wasn’t even cooked. Needless to say it all went into the garbage. I would not recommend this Cafe, you are best...

Update: The Reuben Sandwhich was the best I ever had! Update: Again stopped for their daily special. Their BLT was fantastic! Fries always good. And their homemade soups are delicious! Sunday was Potato and Bacon. Loads of soft potatoes with bacon. Great for a cold day. I stopped for some rings. They were great, and lots. But, the owners are what will make me come back. Very nice people. Nice atmosphere. Good for snowmobilers. Update... Best homemade cream of mushroom soup! Plentiful chips!

Terrible staff on the day we visited. I got wrong order and I asked them to remake it and they said the were not able to do that. they told me i would of had to buy a new item that I wanted. Cynthia's management was way more caring for their visitors. very unfortunate because this was the place to get good food out of the city. I also got perogies, would you call these perogies lol? they were fried dough like squares.
