The Patio Grill — Restaurant in Rural Municipality of Hanover

The staff was nice, but the restaurant is definitely Dated. We ordered the patio Burger, chicken fingers, clubhouse, and three orders of fries. The burger was over seasoned but edible. The clubhouse ham was so tough my wife had to cut it with a knife in order to eat it, the chicken was over deep fried along with all the fries. (My 8 year old daughter didn't mind though) The fries were also drowning in salt. For a 52$ lunch we were disappointed. I'll give it another shot if I'm ever in the area again (out of towners). I think the kitchen staff just need a few reminders and the place will have potential. Definitely over due for renovations too.

Edit: contrary to what the owner replied, our fries were literally drowning in salt, so I do not believe for a second that they don't salt them. Also the ham in the clubhouse was very tough regardless of your defensive response. I tried it for myself and it was incredibly tough. You shouldn't need a knife to cut through sandwich meat. This restaurant is so good. (Came for food during a vacation) We walked in was alittle quiet but we grabbed a table. Staff was alittle short so our food did take a hour to get done. Also had to wait a few minutes for a clean table but had to use the restroom anyway so by the time we came out the table was ready. Had the chicken burger which was fire alittle shocked though that fries were sold separately and burger only came by itself no sides. Also mind u there are no refills on soft drinks that also surprised me. However, u get refills on coffee and water. And there is no dessert menu. (They just tell u what they have) However, the taste of the food was awesome. Fried chicken……this girl from the south approves 100%. Fries could use alittle more seasoning but burgers made up for it. My wife and I decided to go for dinner at the Patio Grill restaurant in Grunthal Manitoba as we have had decent food there in the past. Well this time was a disaster from the time we go there till the time we left. My wife ordered a cheeseburger and I ordered a double cheeseburger with fries. When we got our food my wife’s order was wrong, a chicken burger and my double cheeseburger wasn’t fully cooked. Both Pattie’s were pink inside which is not allowed here. The fries were unsalted and overcooked. When we complained about our food we had to wait another ten minutes to talk to someone. We then told them about the problem and that we didn’t want to eat here. The person at the till replied we will just charge you for the beverages. We were appalled that they would ask for any payment and no apology. We will not be coming back and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Hope they hire a new cook who knows how to prepare...
