Today I went to the headingly grill for the first time with 3 other people. None of us have ever been here before, but have heard positive reviews amongst our circles. First off one of us was tempted by the Blonde Special ale craft beer. It was refreshing, smooth with a hint of citrus flavour at the back of your pallet. Pleasant surprise. 2 people had black coffee and it was great (take a seat Timmy's). The 20th anniversary burger was great with just the right amount of toppings. The Manitoba burger was also great with the cheese bun and perogies in it. I just would've liked to have seen a slightly larger bun to contain all the food and amazing flavours. Along with that I upgraded the fries to a poutine and it was exactly what a poutine should taste like from texture to flavour. Well done! Made we wish I tried something strictly off their poutine menu. The shrimp rice bowl was a decent serving and flavour packed. The whole atmosphere was great. Our server Jenny was great. Loves the modern take on a grill restaurant. The photos of bikes and local sports were awesome decor. I actually took time to enjoy them and take a photo. I was glad to see no silly QR code menus that are very annoying. We were provided with proper menus that were up to date and very clean. The tables and floors were clean. The utensils were clean as well. I can't ignore commenting on the bathrooms with how clean they were too. This is a well managed establishment that I look forward to keep going to for myself, family...

My boyfriend and I stopped in after an eventful day at HSC as he used to stop in with his work and raved about this place. Unfortunately our experience was less than adequate. I always try to be understanding and gracious as I have been in the service industry for years but this was incredibly disappointing.

The experience started off pleasant but quickly went downhill as we sat. Our waitress, a young girl with glasses had dropped our food off and we never saw her again. Though she was still present in the back, maybe she was busy yet the manager on duty and the other waitress present had no intent to take initiative either. Especially with the manager sitting on her phone in the closed section. No one checked on our table, cleared our plates or came around for my boyfriend to even get a box for his leftovers. I ordered the grilled chicken that came with surprise leftover onions from whatever was cooked on the grill prior. The side veggies were dry. No bill was presented at the table. We initially wanted to order dessert even after the lackadaisical service, but it was quite clear that no staff in the building were going to be coming back to our table.

Maybe the lunch time crowd is the best...

In the heart of Headingly lies a culinary treasure trove that will leave your taste buds singing with joy. The Headingly Grill is a true gem, worthy of the highest praise and accolades.

I ventured into this establishment on a brisk morning, seeking sustenance to fuel my day. The Hungry Mans breakfast platter caught my eye, and I knew immediately that it was the dish for me. And oh, what a feast it was! The platter was piled high with succulent sausages, crispy bacon, perfectly cooked eggs, and a mountain of golden hash browns. Every bite was a revelation, a symphony of flavors and textures that left me utterly satisfied.

But the Hungry Mans breakfast platter was just the beginning of my culinary adventure at the Headingly Grill. From the succulent steaks to the delectable beverages, every dish was a masterpiece, prepared with care and attention to detail. The ambiance was warm and inviting, the service impeccable.

In short, the Headingly Grill is a must-visit for anyone seeking a truly unforgettable dining experience. If you're in Headingly, do yourself a favor and pay this establishment a visit. You...

It took 10 minutes for a waitress to come to our table after being seated. It took another 15 minutes to get our drinks after ordering, which was a coffee and 2 glasses of water. It then took 35 minutes for my wife's meal and 37 minutes for my meal. My wife ordered a burger and there was no platter option so it cost 4.99 for fries and 2.49 for the gravey the burger was 6.99. I ordered the Clubhouse platter for around 15.00. When the meals came the fries were barely warm. We usually go next door to Nick's but thought we would try Headingley Grill this time, what a huge mistake and waste of money.

Headingley Grill was a pleasant surprise. Poutine was average, most likely made with Sysco gravy but had nice, stretchy cheese. Burgers were above average and Caesar salad was nicely dressed. However, the pizza was something else. It was highly recommended to us and I totally understand why. Absolutely outstanding. Will be back to try the Hawaiian pizza as well as the hamburger steak platter next time we're in this part of Manitoba. Atmosphere is also pretty good, kinda like a Canadian version of an American diner.
