Tim Hortons — Restaurant in Rural Municipality of Macdonald

UPDATE I would still give negative stars if I could. What a horrible place. In 3-1/2 years, nothing has changed. I have personally refused to go to this Tim Hortons in Oak Bluff due to many, many terrible experiences like the one listed in my original post, and evidently by other people who have had the misfortune of stopping at this restaurant. However my wife does stop there now and then on the way to work to pick up something. This morning, she went into the restaurant/gas station to place her order due to a really, really long lineup at the drive through. She then had to wait 25 minutes for a breakfast wrap combo, with 25 other people inside the restaurant waiting for their food too. When she approached the counter to ask about her order, she was shoo-shooed away by the staff member behind the counter with a shoo-ing noise and a hand gesture... indicating to her to go away. The food quality has not improved, the service times have not improved, the cleanliness has not improved, and most importantly the customer service has not improved... in 3-1/2 years. We have never, ever encountered such rude staff in a restaurant. Ever. Making people late for work, for sub-standard food, and to be treated horribly by staff is not acceptable. We will not be returning to this restaurant. I'll drive another 20 or 30 minutes to get Tim's if I want, rather than visiting this awful place again.

As I said 3-1/2 years ago... don't drive through... DRIVE BY, and go to some other establishment that cares about their customers.

Original Post: Only giving it a 1 star because you can't give negative ratings. Have gone to this Tim Hortons many times as I live nearby. Have had many terrible experiences, but this most recent one was the worst. Drove through the drive through my way into work to get a Candy Cane Hot Chocolate on the last work day before Christmas. 1st, it was luke warm at best. 2nd, it was just hot Chocolate, no candy cane. I only had a couple sips and left it in my cup holder in the car. I had too busy of a day to deal with it. On the way home, I drove through again to tell them I didn't get what I ordered. They told me they were out of candy cane. I asked why they sold me one in the morning then and didn't tell me... which i didn't receive an answer to. I was then told they could give me a hot chocolate. I said I don't want a hot chocolate, here is the one you gave me this morning, but charged me for a candy cane one. You can have it back, just refund my money. I was told they could not take back the hot chocolate due to covid, could not refund my money, and I'd have to come back another day and talk to the manager. I said that was not acceptable. Then... the guy at the drive through window just closed the window and walked away. I sat there for a few minutes, but he never came back. Much like how I won't go back to this Tim Hortons. Worst service and most rude staff I have ever encountered at a Tim Hortons. Drive by, don't drive through... you'll be...

When ordering a coffee refill. The staff gave me an extra large cup. So I stood at the front counter and filled my travel mug myself with the extra large cup they handed to me. Why not just take my cup put it down, put the requested amount of sugar and cream and fill the mug. Save the extra large cup.... isn't that the point of a coffee refill? Then.... I stood there for almost 5 minutes waiting for my begal. Observed it on the ready counter. Stood there for another 3 minutes or so before the same employee asked me what I was waiting for and said, "are you waiting for your cheese Begal?" I replied: "yes I am!, besides that I just like to hang out with yall here." He smiles and turns around grabs my Begal and gives it to me. If I could, I wouldn’t even give it 1 star. Went through the drive thru, only to be told to “pull up front and wait for us to bring it to you”. 2 BLT combos, WITH WEDGES, 1 pizza, I went to the bathroom after being parked for 10 mins, and came back still no food, went inside, asked where is my food 2 BLT combos. Waited 10 more mins. Got JUST the BLTs so I went back in for my wedges I paid for, I GOT 1 order, after another 10 min wait! At this point I got mad, was late for an appointment because of the 20-30 minute wait! This is the second time coming to Winnipeg through Oak Bluff the first time they were mixing up orders, avoiding at all costs from now on!
