Pelican Lake Campground and Lounge — Restaurant in Rural Municipality of Prairie Lakes

I'd heard so much about the great food at this place, so we decided to go on a night with a live band too.

Seems management picks those nights to NOT serve food and do nothing but 'frozen stuff to the frier' and pizza. So we try to make the best of it, order a couple applies and some dinner. One meal is out relatively quickly, although simply dropped on our table after a somewhat curt/rude grumbling from the server. I guess they were just as upset at the meal they served because they did not provide it with any seasoning at all.

So things are going from bad to worse, but we wait for what I assumed would be a couple.minutes for the other. Nope, 15-20 minutes later (after one of us is done their meal) I ask where the other meal is. By this time I'd been back and forth to the bar twice to serve myself another drink. By the time everything was out we just wanted to leave. Said I didn't want it, but because I ordered it, I took the whole thing to go. No lackluster country band is worth enduring this place for.

As we got up to leave we noticed more than one other group come in, take a look at the menu and the lack of actual food on it, and walk back out.

In conclusion, food selection was horrendous, food quality was absolutely not great, service was horrendous. Do yourself a favour and go absolutely anywhere else. You should be ashamed...

Came here for a big family birthday party for our grandma. We had a large group. The service was amazing. The staff were so kind and personable and really made the experience great. Loved the dart boards. Food was awesome. This was some of our first times here, but needless to say we will absolutely be back and I can’t believe I haven’t been here yet! Great place highly...
