Chicken Chef Lorette — Restaurant in Rural Municipality of Taché

When we noticed that one of the drinks our table was being served was broken, so we asked for a replacement.

When asked if we were ready to order, we proceeded to order however we weren't allowed to substitute the cubed hashbrowns that came with our meal to shredded hashbrowns as shredded hashbrowns were ONLY for the buffet and apparently the room on the grill was "limited".

We proceeded to leave the restaurant, and went to pay for the coffees and drinks that we had ordered and wanted to discuss the situation with the manager. The manager was quite rude and again insisted that there was absolutely no way that even though they were cooking the shredded hashbrowns for the buffet, they absolutely could not substitute the cubed for shredded.

I wouldn't recommend this place if it was the last restaurant open, which is too bad, as I've had excellent experiences at other Chicken...

We picked up 2 Mushroom Swiss burger combos on the way home Saturday evening. Not impressed! When we went in to pick up they almost forgot the drinks, then when we got home and checked the order they forgot the gravy we were charged for, so I phoned to complain, she said “the kitchen packs it” as I was talking to her I noticed one of the fries had hardly anything in it, when I mentioned it, she told me that it goes by weight so I guess she didn’t believe me (the one bag of fries had less than half as much as the other). Not impressed with the attitude! Didn’t care for the burger, it didn’t have lettuce, onions or tomato. $40. for 2 burgers, very small portion of fries and 2 drinks. After a long tiring day of work and a fight with my friends I was ready to burst into tears I decided to get something to eat at chicken chef I’m not a fan of the owners as this is a small town and is now being taken over by them and it’s truly devastating for the people who grew up in this small town. I was there last Saturday and witnessed this young waitress being yelled at she was so kind to me and truly saved me that day from a complete meltdown. I feel so horrible for the workers there who are doing their job and being yelled at, I hope this girl gets the recognition she deserves for her amazing friendly service. That poor girl those managers need to learn respect for their employees and customers, and understand that people make mistakes sometimes, but it IS NOT okay for them to yell and degrade...
