The atmosphere could be improved with a remodel and include a British Pub decor. The staff are always pleasant and I think most of the food is made in house. The burgers taste like homemade patties and the pizza has been quite good on 5 occasions we've had it. The taco salad was decent and you can add guacamole into your order. The fries also look and taste like in house product. They're thin and not cooked in canola oil and taste better for that reason. We wish they would consider adding in "Triple Cooked Fries" like you can get in Britain and then have a crunchie outside. We have not tried any of the desserts as yet. We live in the area and had not ordered food from here until other neighbours reported that the food was good and for the past 18 months we frequently order ahead and do takeout especially on busy days. We will continue to takeout food from here. The beer selection is also very eclectic and extensive. The fellow in the off sales area is pleasant and knowledgeable as well. We also lament that there is no outdoor patio in the back. It's just prairie but would be nice to have a bit of a patio with hedges or some greenery. Be aware that the main entrance exterior frequently have cigarette smokers taking a break from their VLT playing but you pick up your takeout in the off sales entrance on the south side and to date we have not encountered lingering cigarette smoke at that entrance. I give it’s a 1 star because 0 wasn’t a option!! So we came in.. there was 4 tables so 5 including us NO ONE came to help us so after 20 mins I went up to the bar to tell them we were wanting a menu... so they gave us the menu at the bar...took another 5 mins till they actually came to our table. Ordered steak and Our drinks at the same time because we new exactly what we wanted. Had to ask 2 times where are drinks were 35 mins late omg our Caesar’s came! Now 1 hour late the steak came out. Order rare and med. THEY CAME OUT WELL AND WELL DONE... ok by this time WE ARE THE ONLY TABLE IN THE RESTURANT..had to walk up to the bar to tell them it was wrong because u know the service was so amazing. So I get asked “what do u want me to do?” Unreal. Okay so finally 10 mins later he comes and says would u like the steaks remade and new sides so we say yes please! They take the plate away while I’m eating my meal.... seriously mid bite! He said he was just going to box it up 20 mins late the food comes on plates because he owner said it can’t be boxed!! Incredibly disappointing experience. Unfortunately I have to give one star, otherwise it wouldn't be anything. Ordered nachos "traditional nachos" like usually pub style nachos are the best of the best. "hand-made tortilla chips", if you pride yourself on food ratings this was horrible. The chips were the colored chips from the bag, if we even got 1/2 a cup of beef and not to mention the toppings that were non-existent, so basically just chips. We asked for them to go after waiting an hour for nachos. Came in a box, burnt. It's honestly comical. They've always had great food. If you forgot to punch in the order or forgot about them period, just be honest and tell us. Don't make excuses, that's where your hospitality as a business/restaurant should step up.
