Gallants Country Food Market and Gas — Restaurant in Rustico

I have been shopping at this wonderful store for 17 years. Although professionally run by Keith, this store feels like a part of my family. Whenever you enter the store, you are warmly greeted. While you are shopping, you will find a wonderful assortment of food items and other household products which will save you from having to go shopping in Charlottetown. They have a delicious assortment of fresh baked goods, pizza, deli items, fresh cut meats and fish, and fresh vegetables and fruit... to name a few of the things that I buy there. Oh yes, I can't forget to mention the delicious ice cream area of the store...where you can get yourself an ice cream cone! As I said, you're always warmly welcomed at this country store. There are many wonderful people employed at this country store who will make your shopping experience delightful. Make sure to say hello to Carol Ann and Diane... This is the nicest place to stop and get your grocery items. The owner Keith and staff are very friendly and helpful. They have the best local produce every summer including the best salad greens anywhere, fresh from the farm. They carry all the local seasonal berries, veggies, etc. They make fresh bread and buns daily and they are so good warm from the oven at noon time that they’re addictive. You can get your gas here as well so that adds to the convenience. We camped close by this market and what a hidden gem we stumbled upon! They had everything, even rotisserie chickens cooking on the first day we came in. The fresh meat was top notch and the butcher, who I think was the owner took great pride in everything he had in the counter. The strip loin steaks were out of this world, we bought some fresh haddock and it was delicious pan-fried on the bbq. The fresh produce was perfect too, this store had it all! Oh and I almost forgot to mention the fresh baked goods; breads, rolls, cinnamon buns, pies, cookies. Highly reccomended!!...
