Adrienne's Restaurant & Tea Garden — Restaurant in Saanich

This was the most disgusting experiencei have ever had. I don't like leaving bad reviews but this time it is necessary. We arrived at 1:15 . We were given a table immediately and placed our order. We waited over an hour before we finally received our meals. They were both rock-hard and cold and definitely not edible. I ordered the Belgium waffle. It was too hard to cut, still half frozen, and dried up.pretty sure it was just from a box and had been left out for hours. It said it came with whipped topping and seasonal fruit. Nope, It had a small bowl of very runny topping and a couple of tiny sliced (browned) apple pieces on the side. Considering all the amazing local fruit here in July that was simply sad. If I had played Frisbee with this waffle it would have broken a window. My mom ordered the seafood melt on toast. It also was completely cold and dried out. Mom tried to bite the toast but she said it was impossible. It appeared to have been made either hours before or possible days before. Disgusting. The restaurant was clearing out from the lunch crowd as we arrived so they were not busy at all. We were the only ones left in the entire section of the restaurant. Our plan was to have lunch then wander the shops on Matticks Farm. Unfortunately after wasting an hour and half and starving we left and went to another fairly local restaurant. There we got a fabulous meal which was served quickly and delicious. Lesson learned. We won't be back. Also note that since we left that means the cute shops also lost our business. Very unfortunate. To start of the coffee was DE-LISH !! (so was the cafe staff) this is where my glowing review severely dims due to the waitressing staff and WHOEVER MADE MY BAGEL. the waitress with the curly brown hair is truly a disgrace to the service industry. didn’t check or care to ask any questions about how we were doing or how the food tastes. My friends jam was rotten no doubt and let me tell you: under any circumstances do not order the smoked salmon bagel!!!!!!! A skimpy amount of cream cheese, causing dry patches. But just wait: all the vegetables were on one half and all the salmon on the other half! i had to reassemble my $ 21 MEAL.. i didn’t order build-a-bagel SANDWICH. the veggies with ranch were the only thing edible… when we were finished (we left the plates full of food) no one asked if everything was alright! a different waitress with green ornament earrings SLAMMED our bill on the table and sashayed away without a word. we sat in confusion and misery for 25 minutes just waiting for a machine to pay and get the HECK out of there. we walked to the cafe to try and settle the bill and waited for another 10 mins before the curly headed waitress grabbed us to finally pay. didn’t say another word.. what a ditz.. To add it all up we were discussing our experience with a customer waiting for a table and she suggested we dine and dash to to how incompetent this establishment runs.. burn in HE double...

I arrived with a friend from Ottawa at around 2:30 pm on a Friday. Granted I have not been there for almost a year so I am not aware if ownership has changed. However we were greeted by an obnoxious server when we were going to enter the dining room. "If you are not going to get anything from our menu then you go out to the cafe" we had no idea what was on the menu but we were herded out and my aged mother nearly fell due to her actions.No apology. Fine we ordered drinks something to eat for 4 of us and dessert from the cafe. Only a coffee and a sandwich on a plate thrown onto the counter was served plus 2 cups of soup ( one was cold). When I asked where the rest of the order and the drinks were I was told that was all there was. No it was a larger order that was ordered and paid for I said. The server flounced off to check the till and started filling the rest of the order throwing plates on the counter I had to ask for utensils and condiments. There was lots of eye rolls and rudeness and absolutely no effort to provide good service or to be hospitable. I won't make that mistake again. To be fair the desserts tasted very good but our enjoyment of what was a treat was zero. A place to be avoided at all costs unless you like this type...
