The Cole’s notes: Small portions Terribly overcooked and flavourless tough steak Plain undressed rice with zero flavour and nothing around it to add flavour. If I could give this meal less than one star I would. I haven’t eaten anything this bad in years.

We ordered to pick up, staying only 4 minutes away so I can’t really rate the service or atmosphere, but the food…. I ordered a steak bowl. I remembered having the halibut fish a chips a number of years ago, and I don’t remember anything bad about it, but this steak bowl has triggered me to write a review. Bad on so many levels I’m not even sure where to start, so I’ll start with the steak, the star (or should be the star of the show).

Just because you’re putting it in a bowl doesn’t mean you have to cook it until it’s crispy. If it had less moisture left in it you might think it was freeze dried. Obviously when you cook a steak that hard it’s not only tough and chewy but also flavourless. The portion was also ridiculously small but in this case it was a bonus as I didn’t have to chew until my jaw fell off.

Now the rice, just plain old rice, no sauces or flavouring, just sticky rice. That might be ok if there was something flavourful to eat it with, but the 3 slices of cucumber garnish and the bit of corn succotash (at least that’s the best way to describe it) and a few other garnish pieces, well let’s just say I want to go out for something to eat after wasting $30...

We did a private event for 38 people at this restaurant and it was exceptional! I would highly recommend this venue for a small wedding, corporate event or private celebration. Ellie (event planner) and Grant were fantastic and helping to make sure that every little detail was taken care of from the canapies, to the drink selection and food. Everything was exactly as we had dreamed it would be. The food was excellent, the servers were exceptional and Ellie made planning so easy. The flowers at the venue were beautiful and we appreciate Grant making the effort to assist us with planning our entertainment and having the Bluetooth speaker available. Everyone enjoyed the evening immensely.

Thank you so much for making our 30th anniversary so memorable! I have tons of beautiful, colourful photos… But can not share because there are people in the photos. We had the patio in the evening with the fire going and they had the buffet set up inside …everything was amazing. They even had a large bouquet of fresh flowers in...

Took my mum and dad there today for Mother's Day lunch. Made the reservation earlier in the week and was not told it was a buffet costing $40 per person. We had been a couple of years ago for Mother's Day and it was the regular menu so was expecting a similar experience. Without asking our preference, the hostess seated us outside. She then promptly disappeared. It was an overcast day and we found it too chilly to be outside. Asked a gentleman, who I presume to be the manager, if we could move inside. He showed us to an inside table. The woman who had seated us came by and reprimanded us for changing tables on our own and not telling anybody. Very unprofessional. The food was good but we certainly would not have come if I'd known it was buffet style. My parents are elderly, do not eat very much and my dad walks with help from a cane so was not able to serve himself. Altogether a very unpleasant experience....
