Au Pavillon Noir — Restaurant in Saguenay

Was recommended to eat a this joint. After eating here, why they thought to recommend this place is beyond me. Cocktail was diluted with soda and ice. Chugged it and felt nothing and im no heavy drinker. ‘Buffalo chicken’ poutine was very mediocre or borderline bad. They basically threw some lightly marinated tasteless pieces of overcooked, dry (felt microwaved) chicken on top and called it buffalo. Its quite hard to mess up a poutine the way they did. I also shared their deluxe pizza with my dad and could barely eat past a few bites. It was a bunch of mismatched ingredients on top of a thin very undercooked crust. Again it didnt have much taste despite all the meat and veggies on top. The waitress was very nice and did her job well. No complaints there at least. I wont be recommending this...

The appearance and location of this restaurant suggest that it is a good sophisticatrd establishment, but you can't expect more than bistro/diner quality here!

Unfortunately, the tables were very dirty. There were lipstick stains and old food leftovers on 2 out of 3 glasses. The waitress forgot three times in a row what we had ordered and still managed to bring us the wrong food after the fourth time she asked. Veggie pizza inedible. Pulled pork burger (I had actually ordered beef, but was served the wrong kind) far too dry and too salty. Our waitress seemed chaotic and unprofessional. Average beer. The view of the fjord was...

Fantastic place and fantastic drinks. My girlfriend and I were on a trip and we had just finished a 15 hour drive that day. The servers were super nice to us even when it was clear we were staying right up until closing time. The view of the park from the patio was tremendous and the entire environment was inviting. I'm happy to say we both absolutely loved it. Would go back to La Baie just for that! Definitely would recommend it to anyone looking for great drinks and service.
