Marina St-Tropez - Destination festive — Restaurant in Saint-Blaise-sur-Richelieu

It is a very cute little place. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are very friendly. There is one pool, an indoor restaurant with a terrace, a BBQ station and a couple of mini food shacks outdoors near the pool. There’s also a beach volleyball station! It would be a good place for a pool party! You can even buy their merch, but it’s overpriced. There are also water activities that you can do like jet-ski. Some cons that make me a little less excited to go back are that the menu is not very vegetarian friendly. The poutine I ate (which was one of my only 2-3 options) wasn’t that good either. It was served cold and there was only one group of other customers - so there’s really no excuse. About the pool, it wasn’t clean. There were leafs and dead bugs, which I understand will fall in, but it was not crowded at all and no one was even in the pool (I was grossed out I didn’t want to swim with bugs) so the pool was completely available to be cleaned. My least favorite thing is the non-eco friendliness. They served us a pitcher of sangria with 2 straws inside. A reusable metal spoon would be a much better option (1. Because it’s eco friendly and 2. Because you can actually pick up the fruit pieces with it which something I couldn’t do with bendy plastic straws). Another example, is when my friends ordered coffee. They received the coffee in throwable coffee cups with the plastic lid. I understand a glass coffee mug would be dangerous near a pool or in crowds, but reusable plastic ones shouldn’t...

The owner is rude and so is her staff, they fry the food in week old oil so much so that a chicken tender tastes the same as an onion ring lol.. Also they will completely treat you different if you don’t tip to their liking. They threatened a girl to refuse service if she didn’t tip, which I understand when it comes to bigger orders but the approach really is disgusting.. She bought a water bottle! I don’t know if they’re used to seeing many immigrants since people from Montreal only heard about the place this summer but there’s a very different approach when you have a different name or appearance is all I’m going to say. The owner even said over the speaker that it “seemed like a lot of us DIDNT UNDERSTAND FRENCH so she would repeat it slowly that people couldn’t walk around not wearing a mask”… It’s in such poor taste.. Anyway its a nice place but the staff make it very hard to remain polite we decided to leave before...

Une expérience cauchemardesque - À éviter à tout prix !

Ma récente visite n'a été rien de moins qu'un cauchemar. Dès le moment où j'ai franchi la porte, je savais que je m'apprêtais à vivre une terrible expérience. L'incident avec la nourriture tombée n'était que la partie visible de l'iceberg.

L'incident choquant s'est produit lorsque la serveuse a laissé tomber négligemment mon assiette par terre. Au lieu de jeter le plat contaminé, elle l'a incroyablement ramassé et l'a reposé sur mon assiette, me le servant comme si de rien n'était. Ce mépris flagrant pour l'hygiène et le bien-être des clients m'a laissé un sentiment de dégoût et d'indignation.

De plus, je n'ai pas pu m'empêcher de remarquer une atmosphère sous-jacente de racisme pendant mon séjour à la marina. Nous nous sommes tous sentis extrêmement mal à l'aise, comme si nous étions indésirables dans l'établissement. Il était décourageant de constater comment ceux qui ne parlaient pas couramment le français et les personnes de couleur, malgré leurs dépenses plus élevées, étaient traités avec indifférence et mépris.

Quant au service, c'était un désastre total. Le personnel semblait désintéressé des besoins des clients, nous laissant nous sentir négligés et frustrés. Nos préoccupations concernant l'incident avec la nourriture ont été accueillies avec indifférence, comme si c'était un problème insignifiant.

Parlons de la nourriture, elle a été une déception totale. Les plats étaient mal préparés, sans saveur et semblaient être précipités. Il était évident que peu de soin avait été apporté à la préparation, ce qui se reflétait dans le goût peu appétissant et répugnant.

En conclusion, je regrette d'avoir jamais mis les pieds dans cet endroit. Cette expérience cauchemardesque m'a laissé une impression négative durable, et je ferai tout pour dissuader quiconque de fréquenter cet établissement. Le mépris flagrant pour l'hygiène, les sous-entendus racistes, l'atmosphère inconfortable, le DJ impoli, ainsi que le service et la nourriture globalement médiocres rendent cet endroit à éviter absolument.
