This place is cash only!!! Just a heads up for those who don't carry cash.

This place is across from the Saint-Irénée beach, so its a perfect location to grab a bite during your beach day. There are picnic tables on the side for you to sit, and some in the shade (which is a bonus). There is also a children's park on site which makes it a really great dining spot if you have kids with you.

Their fries are great, we all agreed that the poutine is the best we had in the Charlevoix region and that the Saint-Fidèle curd cheese is probably the best curd cheese you will ever try (we even went to their shop on the way home to buy their cheese and butter because it made such an impression on us). Even if you're a hearty eater, you don't need more than a size medium poutine because they give you a generous portion of cheese.

The kids had the chicken burgers which were average for that level of dining (kind of taste like a cheap frozen chicken patty). One of us had a burger, which was good but also generic for the area. We did not have the ice cream but it looked delicious. Overall, the prices are steep for a casse-croûte but it is average for a touristy region.

I highly recommend this place to satisfy your poutine craving. You won't be...

(Original review from 2020:) Used to be a well-known outstanding little diner for lobster rolls and regular casse croute type food (poutine, cheeseburgers, etc.) But it is now a food truck with limited selection (no more lobster rolls offered and extremely ordinary fast food). The good news is that there are new spots now opened nearby and they are good too. Not a bad spot overall but disappointing because we used to go to this place before it became a food truck so we had high expectations.

EDIT 2 YEARS LATER: We came back now 2 years later after my first review to try again and our burgers were totally raw and pink on the inside unfortunately. It's no longer a food truck though, they built a structure. Everything else was pretty ordinary here and at least it isn't too expensive. Proximity to the beach is basically what it's got going for it. The 3 star...

Excellent option for a quick bite to eat and enjoy the view. They only accept cash but inside the building they have an ATM and apparently there is a Desjardins ATM not far from the place. We had two very original club sandwiches (at least this is the first time I've seen these versions) one club with smoked salmon and the second with lobster. They come well served with plenty of French fries. Eating on the terrace is perfect for those who come...

A very cool food stand/restaurant on our way to Tadoussac. Stopped here for a quick bite and for the scenery. The service was great, the person took the order with the little English he spoke. We ordered the hot dog and the bagel with smoked salmon. Both tasted very nice, the bagel was exceptional. We also noticed others ordering some great dishes. Would love to go back and order the lobster roll.

WE came last year and HAD to return for the lobster roll! Don’t be afraid of the price, it’s worth every penny for the portion you get. If it’s too hot outside you can grab an ice cream. A stone throw (literally) away from the beautiful Saint-Irénée beach. Easy in and out from the road. Parking is easy to find. Finding a better casse-croute in Qc is much harder… A must for pit-stops in Charlevoix!
