Resto-Bar Le Journel — Restaurant in Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce

I went to the restaurant with some friends and ordered the only plant based options on the menu ( which was kinda depressing and overpriced btw). I emphasized on the fact that I wanted no meat, dairy or egg products. Halfway through eating my meal I found a piece of chicken amongst the vegetables, I literally had to go to the restroom almost running because I felt like throwing up. (I can’t really know if I accidentally ate some chicken that was hidden in other bites but I was still disgusted) I mentioned it to our server and she said: « it’s normal it’s prepared using the same utensils as the regular dish( there was a similar meat base meal) » And then I lost it starting to argue with the server, not insulting her in any way, but just explaining how little sense what she just said to me made. She then asked me if I wanted anything else( while knowing nothing else was vegan on the menu), I obviously declined. Later on I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw she had the audacity to bring me the bill ( I had only ordered this thing). I then explained that I wouldn’t pay because this restaurant doesn’t respect any ethics people may have. She then got mad at me saying it wasn’t her fault if the dish had chicken in it and that I should pay regardless. I didn’t and then I just left. Am I in the wrong here? sorry if...

We arrived at 1 am looking for a room for the remained of the night. After driving 9.5hrs all we wanted was a bed and sleep. The night man stared at Dave and didn’t open the door and when Dave called, he wouldn’t speak english. Now true, the man might not of spoken english very well, but when some one come to the door of a hotel at 1am, i’m pretty sure it means they need a room. J'ai séjourné une semaine a cet endroit. Le premier soir je mentionné que ma chambre est sale et qu'elle sent la cigarette.

Le bain degoute et le fond du bain est extrêmement graisseux d'une substance bleu. En plus d'être crasseux et poussiéreux.

A tout les jours j'ai mentionné la senteur. On devait mettre un déodorant en spray. Ça n'a jamais été fait. J'ai demandé un changement de chambre. On ne pouvait pas car la réceptionniste travailler selon des horaires plus que syndicales. D'ailleurs j'ai demandé ma facture et on n'a pas pus me l'a remettre car elle ne travaille pas avant 9:00 et je devais partir a 8:00 !

Comprennez-vous Que dans un hôtel il n'y a aucun personnel de nuit ou tôt le Matin ?

La nourriture est bonne et toutefois mais très dispendieuse. 17$ pour un déjeuner standard avec taxes et pourboire.

Ne vous fiez pas a l'image du site internet. Les chambres sont veilles, du tapis tachés, l'eau chaude disparaît soudainement et revient ensuite nous vous ebouillanter. Aucune commodités autre qu'une cafetière. Pas de micro onde dans la chambre mais un disponible dans une pièce. Petit frigidaire mais pas de four ou poêle pour faire a manger.

Les serviettes qu'ont veut réutiliser pour respecter la politique vert de l'hôtel si t tout de mêmes lavés même si pas dans la baignoire ou par terre.

La tv n'a aucune application comme Netflix et pas de décodeur. Des postes SD pixelises sur une tv HD... Et le choix des canaux est mortel....

La serveuse est seule en tout temps et pauvrr elle... Service long pour cette raison.

Je ne recommande pas du tout. Pire service...
