Stopped by with a party of 11 with 2 toddlers. We decided to try this place since it was close to where we were staying. My table ordered 4 fish and chips, 1 Philly steak, 1 salad, 2 hamburgers , 1 turkey dinner, 1 fried Haddock, and 1 kids chicken finger meal. The food was praised around the table as tasting fresh and well prepared. Quality ingredients were obvious in the breads and homemade tartar sauces. Portion sizes were generous especially for the fair prices. Fries were local, Cavendish brand, bit of a missed opportunity to do hand cut but this is a minor complaint. The restaurant was busy and service was still excellent. We were a fussy bunch asking for this and that but the staff did a good job of keeping pace. Coffee flowed quickly to every mug and drink refreshes were on offer at appropriate times. Almost the whole table opted for homemade desert. The table had 2 slices of blueberry pie, 2 blueberry cake and brown sugar sauce, 1 carrot cake slice, 1 brownie and 1 crunch cake.
