Cabane à Sucre D'Amours — Restaurant in Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines

Came here with my family for my kids to get the sugar bush experience I had when I was younger. We were greeted by the rudest people at the entrance. No small talk, didn't seem like they wanted us to be there, nor did it seem like they wanted to be there. The man kept summoning us to tie our bracelets like we were livestock. The waiting room was clean but no one gave us instructions or explained to us where we would be seated, or that we were in the waiting room at all. We thought food was going to be brought to us there. Our reservation was for 10 but I don't think we sat to eat before 10:30 or 11.. Service was the only good thing about this place. The pea soup tasted bland and off, the omelet had no flavor and the bread was slightly under cooked. The mappe taffy was the highlight, then we wanted to get a carriage ride and the man was rude too. At least the animals were cute.. Not worth the money. Over $230 for 4 adults and...

The cons : the management is terrible, even if you had a reservation, you still had to wait 1 hours to buy a ticket. After that you had to wait for them to call your name which was another 20 min. Overall whats the point of bookig a reservation if you are gonna wait with the rest. Then once we sat down, the food wasn’t good, if you like fried potatoes, don’t go there because they serve plain potatoes (cut the potato, boiled them and serve it to you). The “Oreille de criss” were way to hard! Couldn’t even bit them. They only offer 3 dessert!! First “Cabane à sucre” that are limited in terms of dessert!

The pros : they have entertainement, singers, a caricature artist, mascott and a farm.

I made a reservation for two tables on March 13, 2022,but one of my friends got sick and couldn't come. So we called them on March 11 to cancel this reservation and I was told I would get a refund. Two days later, I got a call from them asking why I didn't come. I told them the reason and they promised to refund my advance payment. However, at the end of March 2022, I did not receive a refund, emailed them and got no response. 5 MONTHS passed and I called them and left a message and no one called me back.
