Pomme frite Burger Gourmet — Restaurant in Sainte-Thérèse

Great place. No parking, but there’s plenty of street parking available. We only had poutine so can’t comment for the rest of the menu. As for the poutine, we went at around 1:30pm, there was no one around but still had to wait a long time because it was made from scratch. Flavours are good, fries are rustic, not crunchy, but holds together and not soggy, the proper type of fries for poutine. The part I didn’t like was the cheese curds. They use the same type of cheese curds that McDonald’s or Burger King would use, small and too quick to melt. Would have made a banger of a poutine if they used proper curds.

Edit: First of all, owners that reply to reviews show that they care about their business, so kudos to them. Parking in the back as specified by the owners. Since I was just passing by, I did not see this, so this is good info to have. As for the cheese curds, it’s from fromagerie Roy. It still doesn’t change the fact that it’s the small curds. I went to pomme frite with my boyfriend August 31 at around 4 o’clock. Going in I noticed a lot of bugs and flys so I decided not to eat. My boyfriend on the other hand decided to order a burger with fries. My boyfriend noticed a weird taste in the meat but continued to eat. The whole day after he ate he wasn’t feeling well. He had a bellyache, he felt bloated, he felt dizzy, he was very cold with goosebumps and he felt like he was going to vomit. Once we got home he vomited 3 times and we could tell by the smell and the looks of it that it was the burger more precisely the meat of the burger. What an amazing experience. Had a chance to chat with the owner and his son. Such wholesome and genuine people. They were very patient and understanding. My wife has a dairy allergy, and they took their time to figure out a solution to the situation.
