Casa Grecque — Restaurant in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield

Horrible service, the worst I have ever experienced. I barely complain when it comes to restaurants because I have been a server for over 5 years now and have worked in the restaurant industry for almost 10 now, but our server was passive aggressive to us throughout our dinner and also did not come to check up on us once during our meals. We also had to ask for a water pitcher for the table as our waters were not being filled and for a place with decently high prices and nice atmosphere, I would expect that waters would be kept full as I expect servers must be trained to be attentive to their tables (the section was not overly busy). And of course I do not expect my water to be filled 24/7, I mean that almost our whole table was sitting with empty water glasses for over 10 minutes. An example of the passive aggressive rudeness: I had asked for a Diet Coke while my friends soda was brought to the table as I decided that I wanted one too, and he instantly looks visibly annoyed and says “okay does anyone else want a soda tell me so I don’t have to go back and forth 5 times”. ????? I was in shock. Never in my life would I complain to a customer like that for such a simple request, or any request at all! He also slid the cans of soda across the table instead of placing them down nicely to each person, and also did not give us glasses or straws. Does this look like a take out burger place? Because their prices certainly don’t, so I definitely do not understand why my friends and I were sipping out of soda cans because our server couldn’t have cared less to give us glasses. Once dinner came he never checked on us once and only came over to clear the plates and ask us about the bill. We collectively decided to tip 5% even though many of us did not want to tip at all because of the experience, but since I am a server I convinced everyone that regardless of how he was we should at least tip 5%. Now this was the worst part for me: he looks at the receipt, makes the dirtiest face, and turns to us and says: “was everything okay? because you guys tipped like, 3%, so…” and the attitude he gave while asking the question and making the statement about how much we tipped was not in a concerned way about our experience but rather in an offended angry way. NEVER IN MY LIFE would I call out a customer for how much they tipped. Honestly I was disgusted, it was so rude and completely ruined what was already a not so great dinner because of how awful he was. The sad part is that if the service had been different, I would have returned because the food was decent, and I probably would have recommended it to friends and family. Now instead everyone will be hearing about how awful the service was. Still in shock about him calling us out in front of his whole section about the tip. I honestly got second hand...

Went to this Restuarant last night November 24, 2013. We were a party of 6 adults and 2 children.! The service was TERRIBLE! I wasn't drinking wine so I asked for a coffee and It took 1 hour to get a coffee and we had to ask 5 times for it. Never offered my daughter if she wanted something to drink like coke, milk atc. Our meal finally arrive 1 hour and half later and the rice, potatoes were warm. I asked for another coffee again during my meal and never with nor did she come and asked us if everything was alright. By the time the dessert was almost done she came to offer everyone if they wanted coffe, by this time I just wanted my bill and leave! Went to the cash to pay my bill and I knew I wasn't gonna give her a tip for the service cause there was no service, and she came back to the table and told me that I forgot to tip her. How would you ask for a tip when you didn't do anything! I went there about a year ago and forgot why I haven't gone more, but now going there for the second time I will NEVER...
