Came to Saskatoon from Regina for a day trip with my cousins. Thought we'd try something different from traditional KBBQ when we found this restaurant on Google. When we got there in the evening, we were a little skeptical but oh my god it was the best decision we've ever made !!! The service was phenomenal. I didn't catch her name but our server was the sweetest !! Her kindness just radiated off of her (she was glowing!!) and she even gave us hot water to warm up from the cold weather outside without asking !! So considerate !! The interior was so cozy with the nice warm lighting and the lit candles. The food we got was so ridiculously good as well !!!! For the five of us, we we're all definitely stuffed afterwards !! We decided on ordering several items and just sharing all of it. We ordered this stew which is number two on the menu (I don't remember it's name), tteokbokki, bulgogi, tonkatsu, and ganjang fried chicken. The stew was so homey and warm. Delicious for the winter !! It came with rice, kimchi, and Korean pancake which meshed so well together with it !! It was goodness ontop of goodness. The tteokbokki was quite literally the best I have ever had with its mix of rice cakes, fish cake, veggies, and cheese. A nice and easy classic. The bulgogi was so light and savoury and came on this sizzling hot plate !! It was definitely addictive !! The tonkatsu was so crispy and good with its little toppings on top. It was the first to be cleared !! I didn't expect its serving size either. And last but not least, the fried chicken... I had to take a moment after the first bite. Regardless of the fact that it was glazed in this sweet and savoury sauce, it held a very satisfying crispy exterior. The meat was so juicy and tender and the sesame seeds on top just made it all the more better !!! This place is an amazing hidden gem. The best on a quiet and cold evening. Don't be fooled by its exterior as the inside and the experience we had was out of this world. We will definitely be making it a tradition of ours to visit this place again whenever we're in Saskatoon !! Craving it all again already :') I seriously have to move to out there now. Can't wait to come back and try their...
Read moreBelieve me when I say the other reviewers MUST have dead tastebuds... I don't understand how they could find this chicken "good". We were passing through town Sept 2021 & decided to order from here based solely on the reviews. The chicken pieces were very small and I think the batter was something intended for use as a sweet & sour chicken balls or shrimp coating. Pieces were a darker brown & overcooked - didn't look anything like in their photo. Taste was "off" at best. We also received fries, and small containers of what tasted like powdered, packaged gravy, & shredded, pickled onions (I think) as our 'salad' side with a hot sauce for the chicken. I regret we could stomach little of this & ended up chucking out over half of the order uneaten. We ended up reordering some decent fried chicken from Popeyes a few blocks from our hotel instead. This was NOT a pleasant meal or experience, I strongly recommend you consider...
