My first time at the restaurant and it will most certainly be my last. It started off well and just fell off a cliff. We were sat at the back of the building far away from any natural light. The dining room did look nice but where we were it was near a buffet and looked to have stuff only partial put away. We had a server who was changed shortly after to a different one. She seemed pleasant at first and did a great job of describing the features. We both ordered drinks and the shrimp app (shrimp were well cooked) however this would be the last time for any sort of drunk service. This includes water. My mixed drink was good and my wife had wine. We both upgraded to a Caesar salad that tasted of store bought dressing, and had those bacon bits you get from a jar in it. I have much higher expectations for a $6 upgrade. We got our entrees, I had some chicken gnocchi cordon blu, and my wife had the snapper. Presentation was nice, and it was served by a different server for some reason. My water was almost empty and drink was empty. I left it alone because I thought my server would be by shortly. ...This was not the case. That said, mine was seasoned nicely, the chicken was overdone but not horribly. My wife's snapper was way overdone and we would've probably had said something but yet again . . . No server. Finally I she did come by when my mouth was full, I was going to ask for water as I covered my mouth, but she was gone faster than ole Saint Nick on Christmas day. So we again waited and waited, I could see her chumming around with other staff at this point I just wanted the bill and a to go container. She finally came back still ignoring the fact that my water was empty for almost a hour at this point. To clarify these a tiny glasses, I don't know who wouldn't be proactive in doing this if they had any skill as a server.
In any case she dropped to go containers this time, and I asked for the bill after she tried to sell desert. She proceed to agree and just walked into another room for another 10 minutes. When she came back I tipped her 10% and in hindsite I should done less.
It almost felt like we were being intentionally ignored, but in any case I'll still golf there, but...
Read moreWent for a work Christmas party a few years ago. So my review may not reflect the regular menu food. The portions we got were small (especially dessert, very tiny tarts) and the service wasn't very fast compared to other popular places for parties/gatherings in the area. The pasta sauce was bland and was pretty dry (the meat portions were pretty dry as well) . It did not taste like authentic, fresh Italian dishes were being served. The atmosphere was bland (music, decor) and the whole experience just felt kind of cheap. Now this may have been because my workplace had a relatively small number of employees (under 100 with the +1s ) and perhaps chose to spend the least amount of money possible on the party, I don't know what sort of deal they worked out with Barsantis. I am not at all a fan of the golf course view. I can name off at least 3 other Italian resturaunt and party venues (each) that I have been WAY more impressed by...
Read moreSevere Disappointment. Went for 7pm Valentines Day dinner. Had to line up and wait bc staff were unprepared, from prior 5pm seating. Soup was cold, no bread or anything served with it/long wait time for food/no cutlery & had to wait an additional 1/2hr for it/ server never checked on us once/ bread came late and consisted of 2 dry cold slices with plastic butter “diner” containers/ 1 singular PAPER napkin each for our 2 lobster dinners/ lobster was tasteless and no additional dishes were given for shells/ no butter with warmers - just a tiny cup of room temp butter “oil” given/ veg was 2 long hard slices of carrot/noodles were chewy and plain and stuck together. Lights on bright with unlit heart candles at each table. Dessert tasted good but was tiny. For $200, and it being a “special occasion”… we were so very disappointed. Went home hungry & depressed. Will not...
