Marcelle's Kitchen — Restaurant in Scugog

I found Marcelle’s Kitchen by accident while on my way to the Great Blue Heron Casino I saw it on on the corner of the Island road (N) and Hyw 7A adjacent to a hamburger/hotdog/sausage & chip stand which by the way has surprisingly good food. I was surprised to find a good selection of Gluten free products. The gentleman I dealt with was pleasant and knowledgeable about the gluten free products. The store is interesting with an old country store ambiance. My favourite product is the gluten-free “Diabetic Sweet potato muffin” very delicious, moist which keeps well in the fridge or freezer. I am not diabetic however the ingredients are healthy with no artificial ingredients and is a great addition in helping to keeping my weight at a healthy level when I have the urge to eat something sweet! Once you step into the store the whiff of freshly baked goods emanate. They sell gluten free bread, muffins, cookies, pies and gluten free meals. I tried their sugar free sweet potato muffin and it was so moist and so delicious . It was so unlike other sugar free baked goods that I have tasted, this did not disappoint since it was still full of flavour.  I also bought some of their oatmeal raisin cookies and the date square and they were all scrumptious. I love Marcelle's Kitchen. The food is delicious and the story behind it is inspiring ❤️ I have been shopping there for over 10 years now and everything is delicious.
