Everything was fine and atmosphere was nice. We ordered food and sat inside to enjoy our delicious "smash burgers".
As we sat down on the bench in front of the band, the 8' solid wooden bench fell as did my husband and his parents in their mid 70s. My mother in law was crying from pain because her head hit the bench as she fell. I called the young lady at the front only to get an answer of " this is the brewing area...the benches are supposed to be movable". Not only was she not empathetic , but the unprofessional response to the unfortunate incident was almost dismissed. This is extremely bad business to respond to customers physical pain due to unacceptable site conditions. There were no signs indicating that these 8' benches were movable nor that it would be dangerous if anyone were to sit there. Why wasn't this area closed off? Why didnt they indicate that the furniture was not to be used?
This was our first time to this place and DEFINITELY the last time I will ever step foot there. Unfortunately I will be telling people about our experience as it was very unpleasant and left someone in physical pain and was handled very unprofessionally, not a business model I appreciate nor stand behind.we are EXTREMELY disappointed at the service...
Read moreLove love love this cider house! I look forward every year for their Wassail (holiday spiced apple cider) but the rest of the year they've surprised me with some really good gems like their Open Hand Masala Chai Cider or this fall's "Fall Feels" cranberry, walnut, and vanilla cider - which was something I wasn't sure about but they offered a sample in the store and it was fantastic. I've only had the pleasure of meeting Matt (one of the two blokes) and he has a passion for creating an elevated cider and connecting with the local community. They're still growing it seems with events and offerings so best to check out their website to see what's on. Whenever I'm running low / in the area, I try to stop in as they carry so many more ciders than their offerings closer to my home via the LCBO (at this point, just the hex press) and are super sweet at samples +...
Read moreAfter a wonderful weekend at the cottage, our group decided to cap off our trip with a cider tasting, and it turned out to be the perfect choice! From the moment we stepped onto the farm, we were welcomed by the friendly staff which set the tone for a fantastic experience.
Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate about their craft, walking us through a diverse selection of ciders. Each one had its own unique flavor profile, and we learned about the different ingredients and methods used in their production. To complement our tasting, we grabbed burgers from Butchie's and they did not disappoint, paired perfectly with the ciders.
The entire experience was delightful, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun outing. A bonus for us was that the farm is dog-friendly! Our furry friend was able to join in on the fun, making the outing...
