During the offseason and the time of night, my efforts combined with determination did nonetheless, challenge as it is exceeding difficult to research a suitable dining establishment within my parameters. Repeatedly, attempts were fruitless and extremely futile.
It is my sheer good 🔮 fortune to find, near the very end of the multitude of online reviews, photographs and telephone calls that finally Blakes Memories of Muskoka dining establishment's Sequin Location did appear.
Natasha a young woman, the General Manager, did answer the mobile telephone.
Though it is on the somewhat pricer side (*note: 🚛 the delivery charge does escalate the final amount) it is worth every penny and then some. Dining in is a marvellously joyous occasion and pick-up is a synch.
Their website is so easy to 🧭 navigate, though it may cause one to be extraordinarily famished.
The following is my order:
Absolutely, the best French 🧅 Onion Soup ever, bar none,
An unanticipated humongous Cranberry Walnut Goat Cheese 🥗 Salad with fine spring greens paired with a perfectly tart, but light Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing is other 🗺️ worldly (*note: this fabulous in-house dressing is oh so apropos that it is irresistible to forego sipping), and
For dessert, the sliced 🍎 apples with an excellent, generous container of granola together with a monstrous portion of yogurt is mesmerizing.
The latter two are hiding in my refrigerator.
As requested every last item is extremely carefully, brilliantly, appropriately and efficiently put into compostable packaging. For example the precise number of restaurant-size napkins, all cutlery in duplicate arrived. The four menus and four 📇 business cards will be shared.
Whilst lost in deep 💭 thought in our large, elegant lobby, my response: jumping up and eking out a weird sound as easily startle do I.
In verity, Ethan, the 🚚 driver's rapidity and his appearance in a mere one-half hour is unfathomable. What a pleasant surprise‼️
Unexpectedly, a few short exceptionally kind words where exchanged. Mine are the delicacies; his is the envelope with his name.
As abruptly as is his arrival, his gracious leave ensues.
Upon arriving to my room, the sweetest 🧅 onions ever tasted with its exquisite soft uniquely flavoured cheese did float on the tasty 🍞 bread and broth.
Too quickly, savouring while consuming the scrumptious tall container of piping hot 🔥 French 🧅 Onion Soup, (*note: ahead of time the portions had been unbeknownst) astonishingly, it was totally impossible to have anything else whatsoever.
A promise has been made to myself to once again order from Blakes Memories of Muskoka, however, it will be the Baby Beef Liver with 🧅 🧅 Onions and its stupendous accoutrements.
Please do try one their two outstanding locations either their Seguin Location and/or Killbear Location as they are both highly recommended. One is certain to return as a dine-in patron, to pick up an order with one hundred 💯 percent satisfaction. Receiving such excellence for delivery service will ongoingly remain within my being.
Dear Natasha, thank you 😊 🙏 ☺️...

She finally came to us after helping the next guest who arrived 10 minutes after us to a table and then took our order. I really wanted the last caramel chocolate bomb that was there and I placed the order but I guess my brown skin wasn’t appealing in a place of all white people 😞. I have had a lot of people tell me I am white person in a brown body so let me serve this brown chocolate bomb for not serving me the order though being the first to order and instead served a white fam at the table? Not a racist but I have seen and been with and raised with kinder white people than you guys. Sorry but not sorry 💛
Not all brown skins are jerks!!
Adding after the owners response - I appreciate very much the response quicker than most of the places I have been to.
I will wait for more reviews from other customers once witnessed.
I wonder what happened to the response to not being served with what I ordered and instead you chose to point out my grammatical mistakes of my English statements which is only my second language, this clearly shows where the racism starts.
Oh! Also, I adore your grammar and usage of dictionary/AI and commenting about someone’s grammar whose second language is English (repeating again) and I am hoping that this restaurant in this small town is more inclusive to everyone.
Again, we are talking about hospitality in This review and not your excellent English literature.
Well, I am honestly not ashamed or worried about the grammar of a second language when I only try to review businesses so they can improve their flaws for their own growth.
I hope you train your world trained staff to make sure that they have the availability before confirming an order.
For example- I live in a small town outside the city where high school/ college kids work at Tim Hortons and they check availability while taking food orders.
Have an amazing rest of the caramel chocolate...
Read moreWhen we went for dinner yesterday, our server was inattentive and rude. She only came to the table for orders after about 5 minutes so we had enough time to figure out drink and food order at the same time (typically better service greets within 2 minutes of seating and take drink orders, drop drinks within 5 minutes of arrival and take food orders, and upon food drop there's a two bite check within 2 minutes). There was no quality check after food drop until 10-15 minutes and there was issues with 2/3 of our meals. We were at the restaurant for a total 40 minutes.
Issues with meals: alfredo sauce tasted off and sour, and with the "hot" roast beef the beef was cold and bread nearly frozen. As the waitress did not quality check until much later than typical, we did not tell her these issues and were resigned to not finishing our meals by then. The sour pasta did not seem recoverable to us. The meal that was good was from the fryer and hot though.
We understand that people have off days and that the kitchen doesn't reflect on the server. Our bill was $83 and we still tipped 20% despite the scorn that arose during the bill drop. Our server rudely turned the feedback on us. The meal wasn't hot, we should have said something earlier, but the server didn't check in until far too late. The pasta? "The cook had made 5 of them that day and no complaints" yet wouldn't sample his batch himself. No discount and only blamed us for our disappointment. Quite the bad service. But still tipped 20%. Everyone has off days.
Unlikely to return any time soon. Better off going to Bass Lake RoadHouse which is consistently good. I'm a server. Everyone has off days but I can't see myself recommending Memories to customers who want to...
