We were a group of 7, the resort has a lot to offer at a great price. The rooms facing the forest are great for privacy and have Muskoka chairs outside so sipping one’s coffee in the morning is delightful. (We originally stayed in the rooms overlooking the campfire area which was fun to watch everyone come and go but the forest side is nicer for a family group. The rooms were clean and pretty nice. This aspect of the resort I would rate a 4 out of 5, especially with the ATV trails and biking trails just off of the property. However, I would definitely ask when booking what is not working or available though. The outdoor pool was not open yet even though it was June and the inside pool was not available either which was disappointing. The restaurant is a whole other story. We went for dinner on the Friday, and waited 15 minutes before anyone came to our table and there were many other issues I won’t go into because I see as of September in the reviews, they have new staff so let’s hope they are better at service now. Still a pretty spot though and very surprising as it is just off the highway, the resort has a lot to offer at a great price.

If you have any respect for your health or hate being gaslighted this is not the hotel for you. The buildings are run down and have a serious mold issue. When I let the staff know that the room was moldy they told me that it had been checked and they no mold was found. (Despite how obvious it is in the photos) They switched us to the room next door and it had the same issue with black mold throughout the bathroom. Needless to say I did not feel comfortable staying the night. Take what you want from this review but 200 a night for a 40 dollar room full of mold is not worth your time, money, or effort.

I stayed at the hotel and also tried out the restaurant. The hotel experience was good i.e. the rooms are clean, functional and value for money. The place has an outdoor pool, indoor pool, hot tub etc. the breakfast is basic and included in the room fee. Overall a basic functional place to try out. the restaurant is spacious, has pool tables and specials & events like karaoke night on Fridays. The menu seemed interesting at first however the food is a bit overpriced for the taste, in my opinion.I tried the wings and the samosas.

Checked in  July 11 2021 (we stayed here July 2019) and there were no issues with our room. This time we booked 2 rooms and when we went in both rooms they were discusting.  carpets were stained badly and gross, both rooms smelt very bad and one had ants crawling on the floor. One room also  had a bunch of beer bottles out side the room. Didmt want my 3 year old crawling around or playing on floor So I went to the front desk where there was noone I had to call to have someone come to the desk.(very unprofessional)I advised the guy that the rooms were discusting and the issues he said sorry ill switch you rooms, we left for a few hours sp they could clean the other rooms which nolne was in  came back I went to front desk and of course had to call to have the guy come back to front desk. I asked him if both rooms were cleaned he said yes I said including the floors vacuumed as they weren't in the other 2 rooms he advised they were. The new rooms didn't smell and didn't have ants but the floors were not vacuumed and were stained. The shower in one of the rooms barely worked.  When I called to boo the rooms was advised 129.99 for each room when git there they advised that wasn't the case. The indoor pool area smelt really bad and wasntthe cleanest. I advised the front desk that I wasn't impressed with the stay and that its unexceptable the way the rooms were as my mom is a supeevisor at a hotel and that she wouldn't allow that. I would not...

We checked in and went to our room. It was nice and clean. We had booked for three adults but there were only two towels (no biggie we would deal). We went to visit family for dinner and when we came back to our room other people were coming out of it. Apparently they stay there all the time and had that room previously, they went to Sudbury came back and their key card still worked While they were gone the hotel move them to another room but did not inform them or cancel their key cards. Once that was all straightened out we decided to go to bed, I pulled out the coach and they never change the bedding!! When I went to the lobby to complain, the front desk was closed. It closes at 10:00 p.m. and you have to call if you need to speak to management.

The second night there was a dog barking in the room down the hall.

The hotel never apologized or offered us a courtesy breakfast or percentage off our room.

With all the struggles businesses have gone through of late due to covid, I try to support them wherever I can over big corporations but I will never again stay at the...
