The woman running the establishment will be very uncouth if addressing a complaint to her. Beware if you are living with a disability or have a medical condition and decide to come here as; 1.None of the cabins are fully accessible and no details/dimensions of the space will be provided to you upfront. The porches are not wheelchair friendly by AODA as there is about a 4 inch step into the doorway once you get up the steep ramp and it would have been professional to be notified before taking my disability money, as I inquired about the details before travelling there but wasn’t given accurate representation of level of access by the owner over the phone. 2.The outdoor property maintenance is also likely to interrupt your “quiet getaway” as I was forced to listen to an industrial lawn mower for the first two hours after my arrival. The previous website did not outline this and didn’t fit the description as I pointed out to the owner. My mother complained to the Owner/Hostess Kathy about the persisting industrial noise after an hour of it outside our cabin and the woman was not accommodating. She did not postpone the unnecessary cutting of the grass (which was already cut and didn't need more cutting) even after it caused stress and physical damage to me. I had to further educate the Hostess of my ear condition since she initially did not take my mother’s words seriously when confronted. Nor did Kathy acknowledge the fact that I am in a wheelchair and can’t get in or out of her cabins safely to tell her face to face. 4.This discriminating hostess then would not give my money back in full after she said in writing that she would after what happened when I was staying there. Instead she scammed us and ruined what was supposed to be a quiet holiday, I also wasn’t expecting to be discriminated. 5.Kathy needs to be educated in the Human Rights Code and live up to her advertised standard as a service+temporary housing provider. Kathy is a dishonest business woman it seems who also didn’t want me in her restaurant. She said it was stressful for HER that I had to illustrate the stress and pain I was in, (that she herself caused) though, she chose not to tell her landscaper to stop disturbing me with his lawnmower. (A simple request). Generally those with disabilities or medical sensitivities are an inconvenience for her as she further implied within her email response back to me. With my first few hours of arrival and after driving over two hours to get there I had to nurse the severe pain in my ears and a migraine all night due to the loud noise exposure from arrival day. I had to spend one night there unfortunately as the local areas had no vacancies and I had no energy to drive home in the state of health I was in. She exercised zero compassion as a human, made me feel so unwelcome, ruined my holiday but took her cut despite the harassment and personal damages I incurred. She wouldn’t refund my money back over her debit machine when my mom went in to retrieve it and she said it was “too busy” to do that. (Kathy made sure she got what she wanted first: for me to want to leave the property). I’ve been waiting for my full refund since the summer 2021 and am considering suing Kathy for the discrimination alone. Her cabins need an upgrade structurally and insulation. Since they are conjoined, the whole floor shakes and you can hear the other guests through the wall and when they walk or slam their doors it vibrates the whole cabin. Forget sleeping in, forget telling Kathy to control unruly guests if they are there. (She isn’t responsible for a disturbed vacation). It’s too bad as it could be a nice place to stay if at least one cabin was inclusive, had professional service and if Kathy respected paying guests who are just hoping to unwind and have some quiet versus being bullied, blamed and then robbed for almost...

I am totally disappointed in the treatment my girlfriend and I recently received from the owner Kathy. We booked one evening at her Log Cabin Inn over Labor Day weekend. This was to be the final night of our holiday after coming off a kayaking camping trip. Weeks before we left, my girlfriend booked us in for the Saturday eve with what appeared to be no issue. While out camping in Massasauga PP, we made a call to confirm our booking, expecting no issues. However, we were informed that the Inn was fully booked for a wedding that weekend and she had no record of our reservation. My girlfriend keeps notes of all our bookings, and found the reference to the call she had with the owner. Kathy stated she knew about her place being fully booked on Labor Day weekend for a while, and finally found a note showing she booked us in on the 12th and not the 4th. There is not a chance we would have booked a weekend that we would not even be in the Parry Sound area, and a Sunday no less! Her ignorant ambivalence towards her overbooking mistake is appalling in my mind especially considering no apology was forthcoming . If you book here, make sure you receive a confirmation email at the least. For some reason, Kathy wants to keep the booking process through phoning her establishment, but this is prone to error as we sadly found out. Hope you have better luck, but be forewarned!

Lovely, quiet spot conveniently located on the edge of Parry Sound. The cabin featured a comfortable king size bed and a cozy duvet, a seating area by a gas fireplace and a big window to the woods, and a jacuzzi tub for two. Convenient parking close to the unit. The people who work there are friendly and helpful. We had a problem that was out of their control, but Kathy made sure it was fixed quickly and she went out of her way to ensure we were happy with our stay. We look forward to returning and using this as a base from which to enjoy the...

We eat at the Log Cabin Inn once a year when we come to Parry Sound to visit our friends at their cottage. We ate here Sunday, August 11, 2019- yesterday to be exact. I always look forward to coming to the Log Cabin, but not this year. We arrived a little early for our 6:30 reservation and were promptly seated. Our drink order was taken. However, we didn't get menus or news about the specials for about 30 min. We didn't even get bread. Then there was a long delay before our order was taken. After we ordered, we waited and waited for our first course. Our salads finally arrived but we had been at the restaurant almost 2 hours before our main courses arrived. I have ordered the pickerel so consistently that our dinner companions were teasing me and asking if I was going to branch out this year! Well, I didn't, but the pickerel was served in a new way. Supposedly it was sprinkled with corn meal.... actually, it arrived with a coating of corn meal. The fish was overdone, and coated in cornmeal. The vegetables were also overdone. It was though the entire dinner had been sitting under a heat lamp. The fish was replaced, but by that point, we had been sitting there for over 2 hours. We ate our meals and left. In all fairness, the 3 others in our party were not dissatisfied with their meal, but all of us were completely dissatisfied with the time it took to be served. We left about 9:15 after declining dessert and coffee. I don't like to be rushed when dining, but for heavens sake, serve the food and then let diners linger- don't make them wait and wait and wait when they are hungry. Our entire meal took about 2 hours 45 min and for most of the time, we were waiting for our food....
