A beautiful course, well maintained, great views. Customer service was quite possibly the worst I have ever experienced....
For the second year in a row, Our group of 16 did the play and stay for 2 nights where we rented all 3 of their cabins. The play and stay was suppose to include 3 rounds of golf (18 hole rounds), 2 breakfasts, 2 dinners.
On the first day (Friday) 11 of the 16 people in our group played 18 holes and were done sooner that we expected so we decided to play another 9 before dinner and the rest of our group arrived (we figured we would even up (pay) later and that we had to wait for dinner because our entire group wasn't there yet anyway..... looking back we should have told someone of management that this was our plan, but still... not the end of the world as other people were still on the course). Once we finished our 9 holes the rest of our group arrived shortly after and we went into the dinning area to eat, but not without rude remarks and comments from some of the staff members that we were late for dinner even though our entire group didn't arrive until our golf ended. Once dinner was done they made us pay the full replay rate before we left dinner.... which was fine, but in my opinion we had already paid for 3 rounds and this is something you can even up at the end of the weekend.....Anyway..... Day 2 was the real disaster. We had booked this play and stay 6 months in advance and planned to do our 2 round golf tournament on the Saturday (same as last year where we teed off at 8am and 2pm). Before our 1st round even started they told us we were not allowed to play the Saturday afternoon round because they booked the afternoon tee times out and in one of their reasoning's said "the other groups are paying more per round than you guys"!!!! After round one we talked to management and said we could go out at 4pm (it was mid September and it gets dark at 730). They also gave us lunch vouchers in between rounds for a burger or hot dog and a bag of chips to substitute for that evenings "dinner" because they had a wedding booked (same thing happened last year) but we just let it go and ordered pizza for the entire group that night. We waited an hour to get our lunch because they had prioritized the people that were passing between hole 9-10. Finally our afternoon tee times comes and there are no carts so we are waiting around to get on the course. Once we got on the course we played 6 holes and we got hit by torrential down pours so our round was over...... we had planned to play a round Sunday morning which they charged us a replay rate for, even though at that point we had played less than our 3 guaranteed rounds (Friday 18 + 9 and Saturday 18 + 6) and we had already paid a replay rate on the Friday...... Sunday morning the majority of the group stay and paid for the "extra" round but I could not do it out of principle...... At the end of the day our group basically wrote the golf course a cheque for 9K and we felt like we were at the bottom of their priority list. Very disappointing as we all were looking forward to this weekend for a long time. Hopefully they get some good management in to fix up the organization around there because the course itself is a pretty special and...
Read moreI have been golfing this course since I’ve been 15 years old. I am now 40. My friend and I decided to book a round here on July 21,2023. A lot of planning was involved as it is a two hour drive from Toronto. Tee off was 830 am so we were on the road at 6 am. When we arrived at the course we saw the starter having a conversation with an older couple. They seemed to be laughing and getting along fine. As the older couple drove off we approached the starter. The starter offered us a cart and we loaded up our bags. Before he let us drive off he informed us they had problems with the their liquor license. He asked us if we had liquor in our bags. We responded no. He said he needed to pat down our bags. We hesitantly agreed. As he was patting down my friends bag he felt something in one of the pockets. He then began to open pockets on the bag. At this point we informed him what he was doing was illegal. He ignored our comment and continued to open pockets on our bags. No liquor was found. What a way to be greeted at a golf course. Very classy Seguin. After we exchanged words with the starter we made our way to the club house to pay for the round. We explained the situation to the woman in the pro shop who told us that if you don’t want us to search your bag you cannot golf. I drove 2 hours and paid $120 to be treated this way. After that disappointing conversation we still decided to golf the course. We went to the first tee box. We were paired with the older couple mentioned earlier. We told them the story who told us they were not asked if they had alcohol and there bags were not searched. At this point it was clear to us that we were carded on a golf course! My friend has a beard and we’re 40 years old. Apparently Seguin believes that all 40 year old men with beards have liquor in their bag. How disgusting. What your doing is illegal Seguin and you violated my basic rights as a Canadian. I guess you are not up to date with current events. Terrible,...
Read moreVery disappointing, it was disappointing last year and we thought we would give it the opportunity to redeem itself this year. And it was even worse, first of all you arrive and the starter tells you where to put your bags, $125 for a round of golf, and I’m loading up my own cart?? Which was soaking wet and dripping from the overnight condensation, then you go upstairs check in to a very unfriendly attendant who only cares about making sure you sign the waiver for the golf cart. Then, drive back down get your list of rules, and off you go, the course was soaking wet, the cart paths were in horrific shape and treacherous, the greens have been punched, but nobody bothered to mention that, the pace was slow, there was no beer cart girl, there was no food at the turn, there was no Marshall. And then, at the conclusion of your game, you return to unload your own cart for which at that point the attendant has the nerve to ask you to go and park it at the other side of the parking lot after you’ve unloaded. I’m sorry did you want me to come back and clean it check the tire pressure and maybe tidy up around the practice screens? I’m paying $125 for a round of golf the bare minimum you can do is load my cart, and return it after I’ve had to unload it myself the course was overgrown and very disappointing. There was a group of eight ladies, and not one of us could find a good thing to say about this course. Next year will stick to a...
