Very inconsistent quality / service OK.

We have had lunch a number of times there in the SUMMER. Enjoyed the food while sitting on the patio. Summer service may be on a different level here. We stopped for lunch yesterday (Dec 15) and it was a whole different experience. In the off-season, it would appear they don't give a hoot about what they serve and how. The kitchen staff lazily horsing around in the back with your food in plane view! I ordered a well done cheese burger and (as I always do), specifically stressed to have the BUN TOASTED. ...... One would think it to be a reasonable request. When the burger arrived, it was clear that the bun did not encounter any heat whatsoever, let alone be it toasted; it was a soggy, cold bun that ended in a belly ache that lasted all the way home. My wife had the coconut shrimp, which she enjoyed on a previous visit. It was grossly overdone, in a way that the coating cut the inside of her mouth - one of those things you really don't realize until after you ate.

Once the food was served, we never saw the waitress again. The place was not very busy.

Went out to dinner with friends, sat on the deck a lovely view. We ordered burgers and to get fries it was an extra $4.25 but really we only ended up with about 10 fries on our plate or about 6 onion rings for the extra cost, you would assume to have more fries or rings on the plate. Waitress never came back and asked us if we wanted a refill on our drinks, or if the food was okay. Any extra on your burger was an extra charge .75 for peppers and the feta cheese was 1.95. I understand the extra charges but make it so I did not received nothing for the price I paid. I was so not happy with the place. We have been here over the pass few years but their food has gone down hill and the prices are outrageous. I think they better fix it if they want people coming in because we won't be back. The place is conveniently located along the highway with a nice view of the lake. The waitresses are attentive and friendly. However, the food is terrible. We ordered grilled pickerel that comes with a side of fries, veggie and coleslaw ($19.95). The fish wasn’t fresh, veggies are from a frozen package, coleslaw had a hair on it. We also ordered nachos - we were extremely disappointed. Nachos were $17.95 but there was nothing on it really except for chunks of oily green peppers and a sprinkle of cheddar cheese. Their drink menu wasn’t at par to say the least - I had a domestic beer for $6 or $7. The beer that I ordered wasn’t that cold, so after a few minutes it’s room temp already.
