Overtime — Restaurant in Shaunavon

Heard good things about this place went to try it out. Ordered our food, waited over an hour and a half for our food, asked if we could atleast get our salad, was told they can not place orders ahead of other orders!!! It was just the salad of our meals. Said could we cancel our food waitress asked if we wanted it to go when it was ready? Is it ready? No. Then cancel paid for our drinks and left. Get a call form one of our co workers about 25 minutes after leaving saying we have a tab there for walking out on our food! Called the restaurant and they tried saying it was ready when we left which we were told it wasn't and it took 25 minutes to tell cowork who was on the other side, we walked out without paying tab. Told the manager we would be back to get our food, please have it to go. Went in to pay bill asked price of bill questioned why when we ordered was told steak sandwich was $18.95 on the bill was $22.95 not a big difference but the waitress said oh I misquoted you. Very poor serve we had that day. I have been on bith sides of the table as a customer and a manager and waitress of a restaurant and would have never treated someone they way we were treated or talked to. Everything about this bar/lounge is as mediocre as it gets. Ordered a steak sandwich topped with mushrooms and shrimp. For the $4 upcharge for each, one would expect slightly more of each. Despite the steak being overcooked, merit can be given to the well-seasoned peice of strangely thin-cut beef. The wait staff was friendly, however preoccupied with serving the team of rig workers seated at the bar. She admitted that she should have checked in on the quality and enjoyment of my meal a fair bit sooner and discounted the overcooked steak. To her credit, she was able to fix me two identically perfect paralyzers. Veggies were freshly steamed and crunchy. The poutine was made with cheese curds in proper fashion however the fries contained within and the onion rings topping the steak sandwich were obviously deep fried in undertemperature oil, causing them to be saturated rather than crisped.

Might revisit if time and convenience permit and try something else...

The food is top notch ! Best chicken and mushroom fettuccine alfreado I have ever had out of a restaurant and I'm an a hard person to please but I was definitely impressed by the consistency of the plates. There is a perfect balance of flavors and textures in each dish. The beef stroganoff was perfectly seasoned, my mother's version was to sadly put to shame. The ceacar salad had real parmesan cheese which nowadays is hard to come by, alot of restaurants substitute it with mozzarella , which is disgusting but this restaurant doesn't cut corners, and I appreciate that. Our server was great and she definitely knows how to make a delicious ceasar beverage!
