Café Le Bucolique de Ste-Flore — Restaurant in Shawinigan

The place is very quaint and very cute the decor is what they describe however, the staff member we encountered went from nice to extremely rude in .01 seconds of being told we'd only be staying for tea and coffee. We had planned for a breakfast outing and thought we'd try somewhere new. Before we were seated we were told 1 hr only. When we went to order however we were told that eggs are mixed with salsa and placed in ramekins or poached this was not for me as I'm allergic to tomatoes and don't eat poached eggs. This is when we decided tea and coffee only and the waitress grabbed our menus quite abruptly, brought us a bill within 2 minutes and then glared at us from doorway not once but twice. Not recommend there are much friendlier places with great food in the area. I don't know if it was our change of mind on eating there or us speaking English (although I did speak french with waitress) but either way unacceptable rudeness, If you have food allergies stay away as they make no accomodations or suggestion...

It’s taking way too much time. We’ve been sitting for over an hour and we just got asked multiple times whether everything is good, BUT how can it any good if we haven’t received any food?! Malgré une déco charmante, j’ai été très déçue de ce café. Serveuse pressée qui nous jette presque les assiettes sur la table et en renverse le café, mon copain qui avait commandé un sandwich au jambon s’est retrouvé avec un sandwich dont le pain était cru, une garniture ridiculement pauvre et une moitié de carotte et de céleri en accompagnement, pour 14$ !!! Quand nous en avons fait part à la gérante, celle ci nous a rétorqué qu’un des cuisiniers était un débutant (il ne sait pas griller une tranche de pain ?) et ne nous a même pas présenté ses excuses. De mon côté, les œufs bénédictines étaient ordinaires et le café moka bien trop sucré. En résumé, une place moyenne et bien trop chère pour la qualité proposée ! Et le manque de remise en question de la gérante qui s’est obstinée avec nous sur la qualité de ce sandwiche est la goutte qui a fait déborder le vase. Nous n’y...
