PLEASE READ. If u are looking for a place to eat in Sherbrooke NS, u need to read this. I was there today for lunch. I'm not one for Bistro's, but I needed to eat. After finding Beanie's, I walked in hoping for something good. When I walked inside I was welcomed and felt like I had just stepped into a friend's kitchen. As I picked a table and took off my jacket, I looked to a waitress an asked if I could have a coffee, she was already getting me a glass of water btw. I already knew what I wanted to order, as I had looked at the menu on line. I ordered the chicken club, advertised to be their best seller. Well, let me tell u.......I'm not a young guy, and anyone who knows me, knows I like a good chicken club. U can never go wrong with one (except for Boston Pizza, don't ever get one there) I've eaten chicken clubs all over the world. The one I had today was the best of my life. I don't know how it's possible to bring a chicken club to another level, but the people at Beanie's have found a way. Oh, but wait there's more..........the coffee was amazing too. I should know, I'm the guy who order's coffee when its 30 plus degrees out. Thanks to everyone at Beanie's, I...

Amazing food, amazing hospitality. Max and Barb were so friendly and welcoming, they gave us stellar recommendations on what to do in the area and quickly made us feel like family.

As a family of 5, we tried a lot on the menu - the pulled pork sandwich and mesclun green salad were standouts, but it was all delicious and made with care and love. No complaints about the inevitable mess we left behind with 3 young children and always greeted us with a smile when we returned.

The restaurant is impeccably clean. The bathroom is spotless. They always have time to chat and were great with our kids. They feed the neighborhood cats!!! They really care and it shows.

They truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and we are so grateful to them. We have such fond memories of our week long vacation in Sherbrooke, largely because of them. I only wish they were open 7 days a week, but also love that they can have time for themselves because they do deserve it.

Beanies is a must-stop if you are in the area. You...

We arrived in Sherbrooke this afternoon to find Beanie’s Bistro open and we were seated and waited upon immediately by the nicest staff. Caroline wanted the Chicken provalone panini and I wanted the Pulled Pork Burger, but we decided to share, so asked our server to cut them in half, but he bowed out gracefully and offered us a knife to do the deed ourselves when the food arrived. I cut my burger in half and slid a part of it to Caroline while she reciprocated with her chicken sandwich. She made the burger vanish while I was eating the chips on my plate. “Were you that hungry?” I asked? She replied “No, but I wanted it gone before you tried your half and asked for it back!”

The burger was amazing, and local beef I will assume, as the flavour of the beef portion was outstanding! The cook had topped the chicken with sautéed spinach, and it was inspired! The flavour of the spinach so nicely completed the chicken and cheese!

The food was heavenly. We had been eating fried foods for the past couple days and all I was craving was a salad. This salad did not disappoint. With fresh greens, pickled cucumber, perfect chicken and one of the best dressings I've ever had I was in love. My husband got the chicken club which was also delicious; the bun was perfect. It was a very quiet spot but I'm assuming May is a quieter season. Very cozy spot. We came back to get a cappuccino and mocha and their drinks were good as well. Highly recommend this little gem.

I was on a motorcycle ride with a local from Canso. He had been there before and said it was good. We both ordered the Beanie Panini. It was fantastic. It's a small place with a great vibe. I will certainly stop in every time I come up from Florida. UPDATE July 13, 2025 We stopped in for lunch while on motorcycle ride. Another top notch meal. I'm sure I'll stop in again while in Nova Scotia.
