As someone who lived in Austin, TX for ~13 years, if I ate this version of Dickey's in Austin, I would give this 1 star. It is frankly an embarassment to anything Dickey's is in the United States, and while not my favorite BBQ/Brisket place in Texas, it's still a solid option.
A solid 3 Star for Dickey's food quality considering it's the closest Texas-style brisket you can get in Sherbrooke.
What makes it a two star is the fact that in Quebec bread, onions, and pickles are considered sides is completely unacceptable.
I understand that costs and demand are different, but BBQ sauce, onions, bread, and pickles should be free/come with orders on request, especially for the price of the food here.
The brisket is OK, the employees are generally nice, and the restaurant interior is OK. I feel that the employees only barely know what they're serving, and it feels weird that staff/employees don't reall explain the concept to people coming in.
There is a lot of customization/requests you can do (dry, moist, etc) when it comes to the meat, and they generally just give you whatever. I enjoy every part of the brisket, but I'm sure someone who hates an ultra moist cut might have their experience ruined and vice versa getting a cut they don't like.
I would only come here if you have a coupon, or they have some kind of deal, or you've never experienced true Texas-style BBQ before. Their BOGO offer on ubereats for sandwiches is acceptable, otherwise I don't eat here unless I'm deseperately...

Growing up with a mother from Texas I am very familiar with southern BBQ. I was very excited to try this restaurant but to my surprise it is far from authentic Texas BBQ. I ordered brisket, pork, Mac & cheese and coleslaw. The brisket had no flavour but was tender, the meat did not have any smoke rings or crust like it should, the pieces of meat I got were tiny and nothing like the photos. The pork was very dry and also bland. The mac and cheese had over cooked pasta, the “cheese” tasted like melted processed cheese which was mixed with liquid smoke for some reason, the coleslaw was mediocre. Overall the food is far from “Texas” or even BBQ really. Over priced and disappointing, buy a smoker and learn to...
Read moreOnly thing worth getting is the brisket it was amazing. My pulled pork sandwich had no barbecue sauce or anything so pretty dry and bland overall, mac and cheese was horrendous literally tasted like diluted cheezwizz with overcooked macaroni noodles. I wanted the loaded potato but they were all out. They were also out of chicken. And it was only 3:00 p.m. Not worth your money. Owners/managers are clearly not present it was all being ran by 14-16 year olds and it has only been open for like 2 weeks. At least they play...
