This is not the old Log Tavern 2.0, it's under new management this year and has been renovated and looks great. Lots of parking and is accessible via the ramp onto the patio and then into the restaurant. Open for breakfast at 7 am and for lunch with a nice varied menu, and also service for the evening crowd until 2 am. An extensive bar selection and a large choice of over 30 beers to choose from. A number from Lake of the Woods brewing company too! The meal was hot and delicious, I had fish and chips while my partner had a chicken wrap with fries, both were delicious. The fish was real walleye and was a large serving of two big fillets. Worth the stop in Nestor Falls or as a destination for a morning or afternoon trip. The price for two to dine...
Read moreI've been watching this restaurant grow from the get go as I pass through Nestor Falls. I had a BLT and poutine, plus coleslaw. Thick and peppery gravy; I'd seriously shower in that stuff with my mouth wide open. I'd criticize only the cheese tbh, as it was only shredded Mozza, not curds. The coleslaw was nice and crunchy like it was made that morning, dressing was very light so it made the veggies stand out. Spoke to Cliff and Donna the owners - very nice and very passionate about their business, sounds like they have lots of plans to expand and further improve their establishment. I'd love to bring my...

My husband and I were camping at the nearby Caliper Lake Campground, and made the short drive to Nestor Falls for breakfast. It was a quiet weekend, so we were the only folks dining that morning. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Good music playing, with a variety of sports muted on the big screens. Our food was quick, generous portions, tasty and piping hot. This isn't a gourmet or fancy place to eat, but they'll make sure you're happy, full, and refill your coffee to go when you leave. I don't know if our travels will ever bring us back to this area, but if they do, I'll come back to The Log...
